    Pegasus Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Ankara

    Pegasus Airlines flight PC-824 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Ankara, Turkey, on July 18th.

    The Airbus A320-200N plane, bound for Bahrain, took off from Istanbul, Turkey, but burst a tire during departure.

    The crew subsequently diverted to Ankara where the plane landed safely.

    Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    Monarch Airlines Plane Rejects Take Off From Birmingham, UK

    Monarch Airlines flight ZB-970 had to reject take off from Birmingham, England, on March 16th.

    The Airbus A321-200 plane was accelerating to take off for Malaga, Spain, when the crew rejected take off due to a technical issue.

    All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    The airline arranged a replacement plane for the passengers.

    Qantas “No Leak” Emergency Landing

    What: Qantas Boeing 737-800 Aukland to Sydney
    Where: Sydney
    When: Apr 13 2011
    Who: 130 passengers
    Why: While en route, the plane reportedly had a fuel leak and an engine problem while over the Tasman sea. They made a “priority” landing in Sydney, with no injuries, although the fuel leak problem was mistakenly announced.

    The problem was diagnosed as a fuel transfer valve, which was subsequently replaced.

    JetBlue Flight Returns to Fort Lauderdale due to Engine Issue

    JetBlue flight B6-1675 made an emergency landing in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on February 13th.

    The Airbus A320-200 plane took off for Kingston, Jamaica, but had to turn back after the crew noticed an issue with one of the engines.

    The plane landed uneventfully. All passengers and crew members remained safe.

    United Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing at PDX

    United Airlines flight UA-1551 made an emergency landing in Portland, Oregon, on February 25th.

    The Boeing 737-900 plane took off from Newark, New Jersey, but blew a tire during departure.

    The crew decided to continue the flight and requested assistance at Portland Airport.

    The plane landed safely and was towed to the gate. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    JetBlue flight B6-532 suffered a bird strike near Salt Lake City International Airport, Utah, on November 7th.

    The Airbus A320-200 plane flying from Long Beach, California, was on final approach to Salt Lake City International Airport when a bird hit it.

    The plane continued for a safe landing. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
