    American Airlines Flight Diverts to San Antonio due to Engine Issue

    American Airlines flight AA-64 made an emergency landing in San Antonio, Texas, on December 21st.

    The Boeing 737-800 plane heading from Miami, Florida, to Phoenix, Arizona, was diverted due to an engine issue.

    The plane landed uneventfully. All passengers and crew members remained safe.

    Compass Airlines Plane Diverts to Tucson due to Unruly Passenger

    compassA Compass Airlines flight had to divert and make an emergency landing at Tucson International Airport, Arizona, on June 22nd.

    The plane, heading from San Antonio, Texas, to Los Angeles, California, was diverted after a male passenger made a threat to the crew.

    The plane, carrying 80 passengers, landed uneventfully. The man was escorted out of the aircraft.

    Emergency Diversion and Tire trouble

    What: American Airlines Boeing 757-200 en route from Lousiville to Los Angeles
    Where: Los Angeles
    When: Aug 21st 2011
    Who: 197 aboard
    Why: This was a double trouble flight, en route from Boston to Los Angeles, when they had to divert to Louisville when a passenger had an emergency. After three hours in Louisville, the plane was back in the air. However, on approach to LAX, the crew experienced gear problems and performed a flyby.

    Tower observers noted a main gear tire was missing.

    The crew continued to make a safe landing, with the tireless gear shooting sparks. There were no injuries reported.

    Jet Blue Hydraulic Failure over Orlando

    What: Jetblue Embraer ERJ-190 en route from Stewart International Airport, Windsor ,NY to Orlando,FL
    Where: Orlando
    When: Aug 23rd 2011
    Who: 95 aboard
    Why: While en route, a hydraulic system failed.

    With brake failure pending prior to landing, the crew requested emergency services, which was on standby as the Jet landed in Orlando.

    The flight made a safe landing, and was towed off the runway.

    Military Helicopter Makes Emergency Landing in Florida

    A military helicopter made an emergency landing near Century, Florida, on September 6th.

    The incident happened when the TH 57 training helicopter from Naval Air Station Whiting Field was carrying a student and an instructor.

    Authorities confirmed that both occupants of the aircraft remained uninjured.

    Southwest Airlines Jet Veers off Taxiway at Nashville International Airport

    southwest_airlines_logoA Southwest airline plane, performing flight WN-31, veered off a taxiway at Nashville International Airport, Tennessee, on December 15.

    According to FAA spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen, “Southwest Airlines 31, a Boeing 737 aircraft, rolled off a taxiway into the grass and got stuck while taxiing to its gate at Nashville International Airport at 5:30 p.m. Central Time.”

    There were 133 passengers aboard at the time; 8 of them suffered minor injuries.

    The plane had come in from William P. Hobby international airport, Houston, Texas. Three Notams were issued following the occurrence.

    On Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 1725 central standard time, Southwest Airlines flight 31, a Boeing 737, N649SW, departed taxiway T4 and came to rest in a ditch at the Nashville International Airport, (BNA), Nashville, Tennessee. The passengers evacuated via the emergency slides. The aircraft was substantially damaged and nine passengers sustained minor injuries. The flight was a regularly scheduled passenger flight from the William P Hobby Airport (HOU), Houston, Texas. Night visual meteorological conditions prevailed at the time of the accident.
