An IndiGo flight had to divert and make a precautionary landing at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Mumbai, India, on July 28th.
The aircraft was travelling from Dubai, UAE, to Kozhikode, India, when a passenger onboard started misbehaving with the crew and got violent.
The passenger was detained and is now under investigation.
Peruvian Airlines flight P9-216 had to make a hard landing at Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport, Cusco, Peru, on October 23rd.
The Boeing 737-300 flying from Lima, Peru, right side gear collapsed, leaving it disabled on the runway.
The passengers were evacuated via slides.
Everyone aboard remained safe.

Why: On takeoff, the plane encountered a flock of geese, which resulted in an engine fire, damage to the left engine fan blade and denting the inlet. The engine was shut down, fire suppression engaged, and the crew returned to the airport where they made a safe landing. Passengers disembarked on the runway after less than a twenty minute flight.
AeroMéxico flight 3351 had to return and make an emergency landing at Mexico City International Airport, Mexico, on December 23.
The plane took off for Cancún, Mexico, but had to return shortly afterwards after a portion of right engine cover became detached.
The plane landed uneventfully. No injuries were reported.
A U.S. Marine Corps Osprey aircraft made an emergency landing at Amami Airport, Japan, on June 10th.
According to the Okinawa defense bureau, the pilots decided to make an emergency landing after a cockpit warning light came on.
The plane, based at U.S. Marine Corps Air Station Futenma in Okinawa, landed uneventfully. Everyone aboard remained safe.
A Cessna 172SP plane made an emergency landing in a field along 41st Street and Lynn Lane in east Tulsa, Oklahoma, on January 11.
The pilot decided to make an emergency landing after the plane, that took off from Jones Riverside Airport, developed an engine problem. According to Terry Maurer with the Tulsa Police Department, the pilot first thought of landing at Harvey Young Airport but it is surrounded by a residential area and “he didn’t want to try and land a disabled plane around a residential area.”
The plane landed safely. The pilot Zach Prewitt, who is a flight instructor at the Christiansen Flight School, Jones Airport, remained uninjured.
The FAA is investigating.
ExpressJet flight EV-4121/UA-4121 had to make an emergency landing at Halifax Stanfield International Airport, Nova Scotia, Canada, on January 19.
The Embraer ERJ-145, en-route from Newark, New Jersey, had to be landed in emergency due to flaps failure.
The plane landed safely.
Everyone aboard remained unhurt.
