Indian Air ForceAn Indian Air Force AN-32 transport plane crash landed at the Air Force station runway in Chandigarh, India, at around 8:30 p.m. on September 20.

The aircraft developed some technical problem mid-air while returning from Bathinda and during landing it swerved off the runway, flipped over and caught fire.

The aircraft had 11 people aboard, including 5 crew members. All of them were rescued however, some of them sustained minor injuries. The injured were taken to the command hospital, Chandimandir.

The incident is being investigated by the Indian Air Force.

Air India Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Mumbai

airindialogoAir India flight AI620 had to make an emergency landing at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai, India, on March 28th.

The plane, flying from Hyderabad, was forced to make an emergency landing after smoke was detected in the undercarriage.

The plane landed eventfully. All 120 passengers aboard were safely evacuated.

Twelve Fatalities in Royal Brunei Air Force Helicopter Crash

What: Royal Brunei Air Force Bell 212 helicopter en route to Bandar Seri Begawan
Where: Brunei, Borneo
When: July 21,2012
Who: 11 passengers, 3 crew
Why: Twelve died in the crash in Kuala Belait on the north coast of Borneo island. Two cadets survived and have been hospitalized. They are reported to be in stable condition, one with afractured arm and an injured leg, and the other having undergone surgery.

Details from the confidential MH17 report that was handed over to Australian experts on June 2nd have not been revealed. The report questions if the flight path should have routed the passenger jet over a known war zone. The report is based on conclusions drawn by experts from Australia, Malaysia, the Ukraine, the US, Russia, the UK and the Netherlands, but those conclusions have not been revealed to the public. The Australian Transport Safety Bureau, which had experts on the committee, has not made a public statement. The final report is expected in October 2015.

What: Airbourne Charter, Inc Gulfstream III en route from Los Angeles to Aspen, Colorado
Where: Aspen, Colorado
When: March 29, 2001
Who: 2 pilots, 1 flight attendant, and 15 passengers
Why: On March 29, 2001, about 1901:57 mountain standard time, a Gulfstream III, N303GA, owned by Airbourne Charter, Inc., and operated by Avjet Corporation of Burbank, California, crashed while on final approach to runway 15 at Aspen-Pitkin County Airport (ASE), Aspen, Colorado. The charter flight had departed Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) about 1711 with 2 pilots, 1 flight attendant, and 15 passengers. The airplane crashed into sloping terrain about 2,400 feet short of the runway threshold. All of the passengers and crewmembers were killed, and the airplane was destroyed.

Two Injured After Small Plane Crashes in Edgewater, Florida

A small plane crashed in Edgewater, Florida, on March 6th.

The plane was attempting to land at Massey Ranch Airpark when it crashed in the backyard of a Florida home

The plane was carrying two siblings, Amrit Ramnarine, 23, and Asha Ramnarine, 21; both were injured and were taken to a hospital.

The cause of crash is under investigation.
