    Military Plane Makes Emergency Landing at General Mitchell International Airport

    A military plane made an emergency landing at General Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on May 30th.

    Authorities said the KC-135 Stratotanker aircraft declared an emergency after experiencing a lightning strike over Chicago.

    The plane burst two of its tires as it landed.

    EAT Leipzig Flight Rejects Takeoff from Amsterdam

    EAT Leipzig flight QY-2197 had to reject takeoff from Amsterdam, Netherlands, on October 10th.

    The Airbus A300-600 plane was accelerating to takeoff for Leipzig, Germany, when the crew suspected they had burst a tire or had hit something, and rejected takeoff.

    The plane was checked by emergency services, and subsequently returned to the apron.

    Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    TUI Airways Flight Makes Emergency Landing due to Engine Problem

    TUI Airways flight BY-643 made an emergency landing in Chania, Greece, on January 29th.

    The Boeing 737-8 MAX plane heading from Hurghada, Egypt, to Manchester, England, was diverted due to an engine problem.

    The plane landed safely. All one hundred and forty-seven passengers aboard remained unharmed.

    What: Egypt Air Boeing 737-800 en route from Cairo Egypt to Mumbai
    Where: Mumbai
    When: Dec 29th 2010
    Who: 124 passengers, 7 crew
    Why: On approach to Mumbai, the flight crew noted a cargo fire alert. The flight landed safely and when emergency services found no fire, taxied to the gate where passengers disembarked. All cargo was removed and no fire was found.

    EgyptAir Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Greece

    EgyptAir flight MS-748 had to return and make an emergency landing in Athens, Greece, on March 12th.

    The Boeing 737-800 plane took off for Cairo, Egypt, but had to turn back due to a technical issue with the equipment used in meal preparation.

    The plane landed back safely. All 103 people aboard remained unharmed.

    Emirates Plane Rejects Takeoff From Cairo

    Emirates flight EK-928 rejected takeoff from Cairo, Egypt, on January 12th.

    The Boeing 777-300 plane was accelerating to takeoff for Dubai, United Arab Emirates, when the crew spotted a vehicle on the runway and rejected takeoff at high speed.

    Several tires deflated as a result.

    All three hundred and sixty-four people aboard remained uninjured.
