Why: While en route, the pilots encountered mechanical problems with the plane.
They diverted to Hungary where they made a safe landing. Mechanics in Hungary made repairs.

What: Horizon Air flight 2246 de Havilland Dash 8-400 en route from LA to Reno
Where: Sacramento
When: 7:10 p.m. April 7
Who: 5 passengers (out of 40) plus one flight attendant.
Why: When several passengers reported injuries resulting from turbulence experienced over Yosemite. Turbulence was so severe that Individuals not buckled in literally bumped into plane’s ceiling. The plane diverted to make an emergency landing at Sacramento International Airport so that the six affected individuals could be examined.

Azores Airlines flight S4-321 had to return and make an emergency landing in Lisbon, Portugal, on October 19th.
The Airbus A330-200 plane took off for Ponta Delgada, Portugal, but had to turn back due to a hydraulic issue.
The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
Envoy Air flight MQ-3924 made an emergency landing at San Antonio International Airport, Texas, on December 13th.
The plane heading from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport to Del Rio International Airport, Texas, was diverted after the crew noticed an issue with the flaps.
The plane landed safely. All twenty-six people aboard remained unharmed.

The plane flying from Taipei, Taiwan, was on final approach to Manila when a bird hit on its left flaps.

Oman Air flight WY-374 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Mumbai, India, on December 28.
The Boeing 737-800, flying from Colombo, Sri Lanka, to Muscat, Oman, had to divert due to indications of fuel leakage.
The plane landed safely.
All 76 passengers and 6 crew members aboard remained safe.
Singapore Airlines flight SQ425 made an emergency landing at Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Malaysia, at around 3:55 p.m. on June 21.
The plane, en-route from Mumbai, India to Singapore, declared emergency after fire broke out in the cargo hold.
The plane landed uneventfully. According to Selangor Bomba operations Chief Mohd Sani Harul, “The fire had already been put out by the plane’s fire-fighting mechanism when it landed.”
The cause of fire is being investigated.
