Cessna Crashes into Front Yard, Takes out 2000+ Utilities


What: Cessna 210 en route from Phoenix to Van Nuys
Where: Glendale
When: May 21, 20128:30 pm
Why: A plane crashed in Glendale, hitting power lines and knocking out service to 2,100 customers near the crash site. The pilot notified ATC of engine trouble near the El Monte Airport, and said he was trying to reach Van Nuys Airport before he lost contact with ATC.

THe plane struck power poles and a tree before impacting the ground in a residential front yard. Three homes were evacuated but no one on the ground was injured.

The pilot went to Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center with injures but was released Monday night. Police said he did a good job avoiding causing damage to other people and property. The Cessna is owned by Allen K. Heng and James Roth. Heng was not aboard at the time of the crash.

    Crash in Bank Lot


    On Sept 25, Kentucky doctor and his wife who were flying a GDK International LLC-owned Cirrus SR20 G2 to the Chicago area to attend a medical conference when their plane struck a tree, a light post and several cars in Bolingbrook.     American Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Colorado Springs

    American Airlines flight AA-5919 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Colorado Springs, Colorado, on October 1st.

    The Canadair CRJ-900 plane heading from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to Phoenix, Arizona, was diverted after it lost cabin pressure.

    The plane landed safely. All seventy-six people aboard remained unharmed.

    British Airways Jet Rejects Take Off after Engine Ingests Bird

    British airwaysBritish Airways flight BA-491 rejected take off from Gibraltar International Airport in Gibraltar, on June 7th.

    The plane was accelerating to take off for Heathrow Airport, London, United Kingdom, when one of the engines ingested a sea gull, prompting to pilots to reject take off.

    The plane safely returned to the apron. Everyone aboard remained unhurt.

    The flight was cancelled.

    Charter Plane Crashes in South Africa; 1 Killed, 20 Injured

    A charter plane crashed in Pretoria, South Africa, on July 10th.

    The plane went down near an airport in Wonderboom.

    One person was killed in the crash. Twenty others were injured.

    The cause of crash is being investigated.

    Delta Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Orlando

    DeltaDelta Airlines flight 1332 had to make an emergency landing at Orlando International Airport, Florida, at around 7:47 a.m. on October 9.

    The Boeing 757 was on its way from Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers to Atlanta when it lost hydraulic pressure on the left side.

    The plane landed uneventfully and everyone aboard remained safe.

    The passengers were shifted to another aircraft.
