The captain, 1 flight attendant, and 23 passengers were fatally injured; the first officer, 2 flight attendants and 56 passengers were seriously injured; and 84 passengers received either minor injuries or were not injured. Night visual meteorological conditions prevailed; however, rain showers were in the area, and the runway was wet. The flight originated at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. Canadian Helicopter Wrecks at Sleeping Beauty

Who: 3 aboard, 3 fatalities
Why: At nine oclock, ATC lost contact with a training flight flown by 45-year-old Peter Bryant. Two other Bailey Helicopter employees were also aboard.A search and rescue team including a Canadian Armed Forces Buffalo fixed-wing aircraft and a Cormorant helicopter out of Comox were all deployed to the electronic flight tracking system location and confirmed that the Eurocopter crashed in poor weather (described as “horrible”) into Sleeping Beauty Mountain. The area was undergoing rain and snow, and considered unsafe by an avalanche technician. One rescue searcher hiked to the crash site.
The remains have now been recovered, though it was a hazardous recovery, during which an avalanche occurred.

American Airlines makes Emergency Landing in Miami
Seatbelt signs were illuminated—a sign in flight that it is safer to be seated and belted in—when an American Airlines 737-800 en route from New York to Miami encountered a passing storm system that caused turbulence severe enough to send 5 passengers and a flight attendant to the hospital. Pilots did not divert, but continued the flight to make a safe landing in Miami. Turbulence occurred forty minutes before landing. Small Plane Crash-Lands Near Hayward Executive Airport
A small plane crash landed on the Skywest Golf Course in Hayward, California, on the afternoon of February 15.According to Hayward Fire Capt. Don Nichelson, the plane departed from Hayward Executive Airport but had to crash-land shortly afterwards, due to power loss.
The pilot, who was the only one aboard, remained uninjured.
The incident is being investigated.
Ultralight Crash Kills Pilot, Student

Why: 42-year-old Thomas D. Miroslawiec, pilot instructor with the Czech branch of Pila flight school was flying with a 57 year old student, and crashed around 20.00 in a forested area. The accident occurred when the plane was banking to the left. Witnesses say they heard engine problems and saw it fall into the forest. The probably cause is being called a motor failure. TT\he prosecutor and police conducted a visual inspection of the wreck and reported that the plane had been performing a planned training flight.The airfield is a former military airport build in the 80’s.
The plane fell in a straight line about 500 meters from the northern end of the runway. The plane is badly damaged – burned and bent. Three fire trucks, two ambulances and two police units responded to the scene of the crash.
The Zenair Zodiac is an Ultra-light.
