    What: Compagnie Africaine d’Aviation Boeing 727-231F Super 27
    Where: Kinshasa-N’Djili Airport, D.R. Congo
    When: Jan 2, 2010
    Who:
    Why: The plane landed in very heavy rain and standing water on runway 06 and hydroplaned off the runway, skidding right on the main gears.

    9Q-CAA (ex-N54354) appears to be the only Boeing in the fleet.

    Charter Plane Crash Lands in Karachi

    A charter plane had to return and crash land at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi, Pakistan, on March 18.

    The plane crash landed minutes after taking off from the airport.

    There were 21 people onboard, out of whom two were injured.

    The cause of crash landing it yet to be confirmed.

    LA Private Plane Crashed near Cabo San Lucas

    What: Beechcraft Baron en route from Los Angeles, California to Cabo San Lucas
    Where: Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
    When: Sept 25 2010
    Who: 4 passengers, names not released
    Why: The wreckage of a small plane was found on a mountain north of the Cabo San Lucas. The crash is in a remote location, and rescuers are attempting to get to the rugged terrain. The plane broke into two parts but did not catch on fire.

    Two Planes Collide in Midair in Germany; At Least 2 Dead

    Two small planes collided in midair near Schwabisch Hall Airport, Germany, on April 15.

    The incident happened when the planes coming from Stuttgart and Regensburg respectively were attempting to land at the airport.

    At least two people were killed in the crash.

    Gyro Crash in Australia Kills Unidentified Pilot, Student

    What: GT Gyroplanes Kruza
    Where: off Willis Road, near Mangalore Airport
    When: Jan 14, 2012, 12:30
    Who: pilot and student aboard, 2 fatalities
    Why: A local pilot reported that the ultralight crashed, looking as if it came straight down and smashed up. The wreckage was found in a paddock in a field. No one witnessed the crash, but at 10:00 someone witnessed the chopper being buffeted by “gale force” winds.

    The flight was discovered after it failed to return to the airport to pick up the next student.

    The wreckage is in several pieces. The gyrocopter broke up on impact. It had normally been used for training exercises. The Mangalore airport is in Australia.

    Quebec Piper Crash

    What: single-engine 1968 Piper Cherokee en route after refueling in Quebec City en route to Saint John, N.B.
    Where: near Buckland*, 90 kilometres southeast of Quebec City.
    When: Tuesday
    Who: pilot Jesse Barrie, and two surviving passengers: Dan Weiher and Stephanie Shipley. There were two fatalities: Pilot Jesse Barrie and passenger Jeffrey McClymont
    Why: No cause has been determined.

    After Joint Rescue Co-ordination Centre at CFB Trenton, Ont received a 911 call from the female survivor of the crash,rescue searchers parachuted in and the two survivors were found; they were still alive, though not outfitted for the winter weather conditions. They are described as being “frozen” when they were airlifted by helicopter at 10:30 a.m to Quebec city.
