    Update: Two flight recorders retrieved on Thursday are bound for Moscow for examination. So far, the investigator has said that the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Airlines plane lacked a ground proximity warning system which had been due for installation by Oct 1. Survior Palana chief firefighter Vladimir Shabalkov told the press that he and the three other survivors had survived because they had been thrown from the plane before it slammed into the mountainside. They all had been seated in the tail-area of the plane.

    THe name of the 500-meter-high Cedar covered hill where the crash occurred is Pyatibratka Mountain. The pilot may not have seen the slope, and might have tried to land too early.

    Small Plane Crash Lands in Golf Course in Kansas

    A small plane crash landed in Tallgrass Golf Course, Greenleaf Court, Wichita, Kansas, on March 18.

    The Mooney M20C, heading from Nashville to Jabara Airport, had some problem with its engine when the pilot decided to land in emergency.

    The plane received major damage to its wings.

    Both the pilot and one passenger survived but suffered from injuries of varying intensities.

    All Nippon Airways Plane Diverts to Russia after Engine Problem

    ANA All Nippon Airways flight NH-209 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Bratsk Airport, Bratsk, Russia, on May 12th.

    The Boeing 787-900 flying from Tokyo, Japan, to Dusseldorf, Germany, had to divert due to problems with its left engine.

    The plane landed safely.

    No injuries were reported.

    Onur Air Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Russia

    Onur Air flight 8Q-877 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Volgograd, Russia, on May 20th.

    The Airbus A321-200 plane heading from Antalya, Turkey, to Chelyabinsk, Russia, was diverted due to loss of cabin pressure.

    The plane landed safely. All two hundred and twenty-six passengers eight crew members remained unharmed.

    Furious Air France Workers Attack Executives Over Job Cuts

    Air FranceAbout 100 Air France employees stormed a management and union official meeting on October 5, after the airline announced plans to shed 2,900 jobs in the next 2 years.

    The airline, which is struggling to compete with global rivals, announced job cuts after failing to convince its pilots to work longer hours on same salary.

    The airline’s human resources manager Xavier Broseta and the head of long-haul flights Pierre Plissonnier had to flee from the angry workers, with their shirts torn off.

    Seven people, including a security guard, were injured in the incident.

    French President Francois Hollande said, “Social dialogue matters and when it’s interrupted by violence, and disputes take on an unacceptable form, it can have consequences for the image and attractiveness” of the country.”

    A criminal investigation has been launched into the incident.
