Shaheen Air flight NL-122 had to return and make an emergency landing at Benazir Bhutto International Airport in Islamabad, Pakistan, on April 21.
The Boeing 737 took off for Karachi at 10:31 a.m., however, at 10:36 a.m., the pilot reported fire in one of its engines and requested an emergency landing.
The plane landed back safely at 10:43 a.m. All 174 passengers aboard remained unhurt.
A small plane crashed at Laredo International Airport, Texas, on March 8th.
The pilot had reported smoke coming from an engine and was attempting to land back at the airport when the plane went down.
All three people aboard were killed in the crash.
The FAA and the NTSB are investigating.
United Airlines flight UA-5711 had to make an emergency landing in Charlotte, North Carolina, on March 10th.

Pilot Adrian Iovan and student Aurelia Ion died from severe injuries and cold. Authorities failed to find the site in the first six hours. The fallout from that failure has led to the resignation of political officials including Minister of Interior, Radu Stroe, Director General of Romatsa, Aleodor Frâncu and Chief of General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU), Ion Burlui. Romanian Prime Minister Victor Ponta dismissed state secretary Constantin Chiper, who was in charge of the rescue mission, and who should have coordinated the teams better.
A doctor who survived Radu Zamfir said that he gave the emergency service his exact GPS location provided by a smartphone.
Pilot Adrian Iovan died of internal bleeding and cold. AURELIA ION was an officer-student in the fifth year at the UMF Carol Davila, Military Medicine Institute in Bucharest and was also doing an internship at Fundeni Hospital.
A ranger found the wreckage and initiated the rescue. Initially all aboard—four doctors, a nurse and two flight crew—were alive.
Near Petreasa, Romania the airplane sustained substantial damage but the seven aboard initially survived. Near Poiana Horea, the plane had engine trouble. Pilot ADRIAN IOVAN tried to make an emergency landing, came down on a hillside in deep snow near Fântânele village near a lake.

Air Canada flight AC-851 had to return and make an emergency landing at Heathrow Airport in London, United Kingdom, on February 3rd.
The Boeing 787-800 plane took off for Calgary, Canada, but had to return shortly afterwards due to an electrical smell in the cabin.
The plane landed uneventfully. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.
Sixty-one people were aboard a FlyDubai Boeing 737 that crashed today on the second approach to Rostov-On-Don in Russia, in bad weather conditions.
The airline posted this statement:
There were no survivors. A raw video (below) of the crash shows the plane coming down in a fireball at a steep angle.
The Regional Emergencies Ministry said “The Boeing-737 fell amid poor visibility conditions 50-100 meters [164-328 feet] left of the runway.”
The plane was en route from Dubai to Russia’s Rostov-on-Don. The pilots failed to land on their first pass, and on the second pass crashed after they missed the runway. The time difference between both approaches at first report appears to be nearly 2 hours. The plane had been airborne for just over six hours when it came down; AV. Herald reports that the plane carried fuel for 8.31 hours.
