    What: Azza Transport Boeing 707-300 freighter on behalf of the Sudan Airways en route from Sharjah, United Arab Emirates to Khartoum, Sudan
    Where: Sharjah
    When: Oct 21st 2009
    Who: 6 crew
    Why: It is speculated that the plane had flaps problems that contributed to the flight crashing not long after takeoff. Witnesses say the plane first lost parts first, then it lost height, then veered to the right and into the ground.

    Jalisco Mexico: 4 Fatalities in Cessna

    What: Cessna 182R Skylane en route from Zapotiltic
    Where: Jilotlan de los Dolores, Jalisco Mexico
    When: Dec 28 2009
    Who: 4 aboard: captain Miguel Farias Álvarez, José Torres Farias, Jacob Farias Macias and Raúl Torres Gutiérrez.
    Why: The plane went down in an inaccessible area in Rancho Las Higueras; two aboard were thrown clear and two trapped inside. All were fatalities. The cause of the crash is unresolved.

    3 Businessmen Die in Plane Crash

    What: Pulsar group Super Cruiser YS 300 ED plane en route from Ilopango
    Where: Changallo, El Salvador
    When: May 14, 2011
    Who: 3 fatalities
    Why: The Pulsar Aircraft Super Cruiser plane climbed to an altitude of about 500 feet and crashed about 500 meters from the landing strip south of the airport. Fatalities included Yaron Degani, a 56-year-old Israeli businessman who manufactured small planes, and two businessmen—Lee Yen, 49, and Yu Wen Kao, 42— in Salvador on business on behalf of a Chinese aircraft company from Wuxi.

    Cessna Crash: Virgin Islands

    What: Cessna 177 en route to St. Thomas
    Where: CHRISTIANSTED Virgin Islands, Caribbean
    When: Thursday
    Who: Mark Atchley of Tennessee, Elium King of St. Vincent and David Bentley of St. Croix.
    Why: The single-engine Cessna 177 was en route to St. Thomas when it crashed Thursday and burst into flames. The pilot had reported problems after takeoff and was returning to the airport.

    TAM Linhas Aereas Plane Returns to Salvador after Bird Strike

    TAMTAM Linhas Aereas flight JJ-3517 had to return and make an emergency landing at Deputado Luis Eduardo Magalhaes International Airport, Salvador da Bahia, Brazil on April 1st.

    The Airbus A321-200, en-route from Salvador to Brasilia, was climbing out of runway when one of the plane’s engines ingested a bird, prompting the plane to return.

    The plane landed safely.

    All 108 passengers onboard remained unharmed.

    Small Plane Crashes Near Quilcene, WA; 1 Killed, 1 Injured

    A small plane crashed in the Buck Mountain area near Quilcene, Washington, on September 29th.

    Authorities said the plane was carrying two people when it went down.

    One person was killed in the crash. The other occupant of the plane was injured and was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center, Seattle.

    The NTSB is investigating.
