Air China flight CA852, en route from London to Beijing, made an emergency landing at Gatwick Airport, West Sussex, UK, at around 3:20 p.m. on September 7.
The decision for emergency landing was made after the aircraft’s landing gear became jammed shortly after it took off at 1:30 p.m.
The Airbus landed safely after circling over Sussex for around 2 hours to shed extra fuel. No injuries were reported.
The runway at Gatwick airport remained closed for 20 minutes after the landing.

Eastern Australia Airlines flight QF-2207 made an emergency landing in Albury, Australia, on October 25th.

Southwest Airlines flight WN-4046 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Los Angeles, California, on December 3rd.
