On Nov 14, 2013, a Virgin Atlantic Boeing en route from Montego Bay to London when the plane encountered turbulence.
Four people (one member of the crew and three passengers) were injured by the turbulence.
The flight continued to London where it made a safe landing.
Air France cargo plane, operating flight 6738, had to make an emergency landing at Halifax International Airport in Nova Scotia, Canada, on April 14.
The Boeing 777 plane, heading from Paris to Chicago, was forced to land in emergency after one of its two engines lost power.
The plane landed uneventfully at around 9:35 p.m.
There were 3 crew members aboard at the time; all of them remained safe.
The incident is being investigated.

What: Emirates en route from Kuala Lumpur to Dubai

Why: While en route, the plane had a technical failure resulting in smoke in the cockpit. The crew diverted to Chennai where they made a safe landing. Passengers were provided alternative transportation to Dubai. However, the passengers overnighted in Chennai as the problem could not be solved within the crews “max duty time.”
Delta Airlines flight DL-453 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Billings, Montana, on December 2nd.
