    Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Washington County Pasture

    emergencyAn abandoned small plane was found in a pasture in Washington County, Oregon, on January 5th.

    Authorities said the land-owner found the aircraft when he went to feed his cattle in the pasture.

    The troopers contacted the pilot who told them he had to make an emergency landing due to mechanical issues and that he was not injured. He said he was making arrangements to bring a mechanic to the plane.

    Small Plane Crash in California Leaves Two Dead

    A small plane crashed near Petaluma Municipal Airport in Sonoma County, California, on May 27th.

    The plane carrying two people went down shortly after taking off from the airport.

    Both occupants of the plane were killed in the crash.

    The aircraft was registered to Richard Bristow of Carmichael, California. Bristow’s brother said Bristow and his wife were travelling in the plane when it crashed.

    The cause of crash is being investigated.

    FedEx Plane Lands in Emergency at Wichita

    FedExA FedEx cargo plane made an emergency landing at the Mid Continent Airport, Wichita, Kansas, shortly before 5 p.m. on August 15.

    The pilots decided to go for emergency landing after the windshield of the aircraft cracked midair.

    According to Officer Kourt Klassen, emergency crews were present at the runway when the plane safely landed. There were 2 people aboard the plane at the time; both of them remained unhurt.

    According to the FedEx spokesperson, the plane is being evaluated by the maintenance crew. The cargo was transferred to another aircraft to avoid any delays in deliveries.

    Nepal Airlines Crash Landing in Jomsom


    Twenty-one people aboard a Nepal Airlines de Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter 300 survived the attempted landing 125 miles NW of Kathmandu.

    Everyone aboard survived but everyone was injured. Five of the tourists were seriously injured.

    On landing at Jomsom airport at 8:30 a.m., the brakes failed, and the plane skidded to the banks of the Kali Gandaki river. The wheel of the plane slipped off the runway and turned right. The front of the plane was wrecked and in the water. The back appears intact.

    Eight passengers were Japanese, and on pilgrimage to Muktinath, a sacred Buddhist site at the foot of the Thorong La Himalayan mountain pass.

    The rest of those aboard were Nepali.

    An investigation is underway. The accident is currently being attributed to brake failure. Jomsom airport is known as one of the most dangerous on earth.

    Small Plane Crashes in El Paso County; 2 Killed

    A small plane crashed near Palmer Lake in El Paso County, Colorado, on March 2nd.

    Authorities said the single-engine plane caught fire after the crash which also spread to the surrounding grass.

    FAA officials confirmed that both people aboard the plane were killed in the crash. Their identities have not yet been released.

    The NTSB are the FAA are investigating the cause of crash.

    California Chopper Collides with Plane Midair

    Why: The helicopter clipped the plane over Rio Vista. The chopper was eight miles from the airport when it crashed.

    Although the contact broke off the tail of the chopper and ended the severed rotor up 50 feet from the fuselage, the pilot walked away. She was reported to be unhurt; She is an experienced commercial airplane pilot who was logging night-flying hours alone toward a helicopter license.
