Why: According to the FAA report, during Push-back for departure, the plane hit a parked MD80.
Oops.
No injuries were reported. THe plane involved happened to be the Miami Dolphins charter plane scheduled to return the Dophins to Miami. The team was provided a replacement jet and they returned to Miami at 7:30 a.m. the next morning.

What: Continental Airlines Boeing 737-700 en route from Guam) to Nagoya
Where: Guam
When: Sep 1 2010
Who: 44 passenger
Why: While en route, the flight developed problems with navigation and had to return to Guam, where they made a safe landing. No injuries were reported.
TUIFly Nordic flight 6B-554 had to return and make an emergency landing at Alghero-Fertilia Airport, Italy, on August 17.
The Boeing 737-800 en-route to Oslo, Norway, had to return after it ingested a number of birds into one of its engines.
The plane landed safely.
All 176 people aboard remained unhurt.

What: Southwest Airlines Boeing 737-700 en route from from Chicago to Salt Lake City
Where: Denver
When: December 4, 2009
Who: mother and child
Why: About 130 miles NW of Denver, an expectant mother aboard the 737 delivered a baby boy. A doctor was on board and assisted. The flight diverted to Denver when the baby was born. Mother and son were taken to a Denver hospital, and the flight continued to Salt Lake City.
Reportedly, the pilot announced that a new patient had just boarded.
Atlas Air flight 5Y-8591 made an emergency landing in Leipzig, Germany, on February 20th.
The Boeing 747-400 plane heading from Nuremberg, Germany, to Portsmouth, New Hampshire, was diverted due to a technical issue.
The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
Polar Air Cargo flight PO-214 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Seattle – Tacoma International Airport, Seattle, Washington, on April 22nd.
The Boeing 747-800 was flying from Nagoya, Japan, to Cincinnati, Kentucky, when it declared medical emergency mid-air, as the captain was incapacitated, prompting the plane to divert.
The plane landed uneventfully. The captain was taken to hospital.
On May 31, 2013, a Transpac Aviation Academy Piper out of Deer Valley airport, and a Westwind School of Aeronautics Cessma were fifteen miles from the Deer Valley Airport when they collided.
Two people were aboard each flight, and there were no survivors.
The Cessna caught fire after impact.
Passengers names have not been released.
