Finnair Flight Makes Emergency Landing after Lightning Strike
Finnair flight AY-165 had to return and make an emergency landing in Helsinki, Finland, on April 8th.
The plane took off for to Saint Petersburg, Russia, but had to turn back after a lightning strike caused some electrical problems.
The plane landed uneventfully. Everyone aboard remained safe.

Thomas Cook flight MT-2152 had to return and make an emergency landing at Manchester Airport, England, on April 9th.
Jet2.com flight LS-286 had to divert and continue for a safe landing at Manchester Airport, Manchester, England, on April 7th.
WestJet Encore flight WS-3415 continued for a safe landing at Thunder Bay International Airport, Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, on April 4th.
Cathay Pacific flight CX-92 had to make an emergency landing in Hong Kong, China, on April 6th.
SriLankan Airlines flight UL-891 had to return and make an emergency landing in Bangkok, Thailand, on April 7th.
The incident happened when the Batik Air plane was taking off, while the TransNusa plane was being towed across the runway.
EgyptAir flights 631, 650, 664, 834, 921, 959, 969 had to divert and make emergency landing at Sharm El-Sheikh and El-Ghardaga Airports, Sinai Peninsula, Egypt, on April 3rd.
