    Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Duplin County

    The pilot Richard Kenny said he was forced to land on the highway after his plane ran out of fuel. He was heading from Long Island, New York, to Orlando, Florida, at the time.

    The plane hit a highway sign while landing. No injuries were reported.

    Five Killed as Small Plane Crashed near Bakersfield

    The single-engine Piper PA32 aircraft took off from Reid-Hillview Airport, San Jose, to Henderson Executive Airport, Las Vegas, when disappeared from the radar and went down.

    There were five members of a Gilroy, California, family aboard the plane at the time of crash; all of them were killed. Their identities have not yet been released.

    The accident is being investigated.

    Pilot Killed as Small Plane Crashes in Iowa

    A small plane crashed in the median of Interstate 29, north of downtown Council Bluffs, Iowa, on December 10.

    The Piper Malibu Meridian single-engine plane had just taken off from Eppley Airfield when it started experiencing some issues. Authorities said the pilot radioed to the airport and sought permission to return for an emergency landing, however, the plane clipped a power line and went down.

    The pilot, who was the only one aboard, was killed in the crash. He was identified as John Rogers, 65, of Omaha.

    The FAA and the NTSB are investigating.

    A 1960 Piper Comanche single-engine plane made an emergency landing at Millville Municipal Airport, Cumberland County, New Jersey, on December 4.

    Authorities said the plane was taking off when it lost power and landed on its belly on the grass near a taxiway.

    There were two people aboard at the time, including the pilot Roger Buck of Berlin and his passenger Roland Arthur of Lumberton. Buck sustained minor injuries in the incident while Arthur remained unhurt.

    The plane, registered to Buck, was significantly damaged.

    The FAA is investigating.

    The plane was heading from Italy to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, when the pilot noticed that the fuel level is alarmingly low and decided to divert.

    Authorities said the plane was able to resume its journey after refuelling.

    Emirates Plane Diverts to Perth due to Medical Emergency

    The A380 plane was en-route from Auckland, New Zealand, to Dubai, UAE, when a passenger went into labor. There were two doctors on-board who helped her through her contractions while the pilot diverted to Perth.

    The passengers said the woman did not speak English and the doctors had to use Google translate to communicate with her.

    The plane landed safely. The passenger was rushed to hospital where she gave birth to a baby girl.

    The delayed flight reached Dubai the next day.

    2 Injured as Small Plane Crashes into Backyard of Gwinnett County Home

    2 Killed as Small Plane Crashed into Lake in Orlando

    A Beechcraft Bonanza plane crashed into Clear Lake in Orlando, Florida, on November 20.

    The six-seater aircraft, carrying two people, took off from Orlando Executive Airport but crashed just fifteen minutes later into the lake located off Rio Grande Avenue.

    Both occupants of the plane, including a man who appeared to be in his 50s and a teenage girl, were killed in the crash.

    Authorities said the plane was en-route to Gainesville, Texas, at the time.

    Authorities said the plane, carrying a pilot instructor and a student, went down in a farm field.
