    The Boeing 737-400 aircraft was flying from Juneau, Alaska to Seattle, Washington when it developed a problem in one of its electrical systems, prompting the pilots to land at the nearest airport.

    The plane landed uneventfully.

    There were 120 passengers and 5 crew members onboard at the time; all of them remained unharmed.

    Columbus Police Helicopter Makes Emergency Landing in Parking Lot

    A Columbus police helicopter had to make an emergency landing in a parking lot in Columbus, Ohio, around midnight on April 30.

    Authorities said the helicopter’s pilot decided to land in emergency after a warning light went on.

    The plane safely landed near a shopping plaza in west Columbus. No one was injured.

    The helicopter was able to return to the police heliport early morning.

    According to an airline spokesperson, “EasyJet can confirm that flight EZY8626 from Palma to London Gatwick is diverting to Orly as a result of a passenger onboard requiring urgent medical assistance… The safety and wellbeing of our passengers and crew is easyJet’s highest priority. The flight will continue to London Gatwick after the passenger is transferred to hospital…We apologise for any inconvenience experienced due to the diversion and resulting delay.”

    The nature of medical emergency is not known at the moment.

    Eastern Airways Jet Makes Emergency Landing at Aberdeen Airport

    Eastern AirwaysAn Eastern Airways fight had to make an emergency landing at Aberdeen International Airport in Scotland on April 30.

    According to an airline spokesperson, “Our crew were re-positioning an empty aircraft from Orebro in Sweden to Aberdeen and reported a cockpit warning indication relating to the aircraft’s Auxiliary Power Unit…There were no passengers onboard the Saab 2000, and the two pilots landed safely at 7.20pm…After vacating the runway the aircraft then taxied to its parking stand.”

    The airline engineers were inspecting the aircraft.

    Pilot Injured after Ultralight Plane Makes Emergency Landing in British Columbia

    An Amphibian Ultralight plane had to make an emergency landing at Highway 91 in Delta, British Columbia, Canada, on April 22.

    Cessna Makes Emergency Landing on Mississippi Highway; Pilot Injured

    A small plane made an emergency landing at Mississippi 28, near Mize, in Smith County, Mississippi, on April 18.

    The Cessna was heading from Atlanta to Houston, Texas, when it had to land in emergency after getting stuck in a thunderstorm. According to Sheriff Charlie Crumpton, the pilot was able to make a successful emergency landing, however, the plane flipped upon landing.

    The pilot, a 78-year-man, sustained minor injuries in the incident and was taken to South Central Regional Medical Center, Laurel.

    The incident is under investigation.
