    Southern Utah Crash Kills Pilot

    What: home built single-engine plane en route to Las Vegas
    Where: near the Parowan airport about 1 mile north of the runway on private property.
    When: Saturday 1:45 p.m
    Who: Pilot William Phillips, 59 and wife 52-year-old Janice Phillips, a Vegas couple with a cabin in Iron County
    Why: Pilot experienced mechanical problems shortly after takeoff. Witnesses also reported the plane making noises that indicated a mechanical problem. The pilot was alive when deputies arrived at the scene but died a few minutes later. Passenger suffered broken bones and internal injuries and was “LifeFlighted” to Intermountain Medical Center in Murray. Investigating deputies are Tony Gower and Nate Houchen.

    3 Presumed Dead After Small Plane Crashes in Florida

    A small plane crashed into Lake Harney in Florida, on December 8th.

    The twin-engine Beechcraft plane was on its way to Orlando Sanford International Airport when it went down.

    There were three people aboard the plane, including the pilot Kamalesh Naik, 56, and the passengers Men Tao, 22, and Hou Xupeng, 23. All of them are presumed dead.

    The search for the bodies is underway.

    Small Plane Crash in Arizona Kills Family of Four

    A small plane crashed near Payson in Gila County, Arizona, on January 3rd.

    The single-engine Cessna 210 plane was heading from Scottsdale, Arizona, to Telluride, Colorado, when it went down.

    The plane was carrying four members of a family at the time; all of them were killed in the crash.

    The cause of crash is being investigated.

    Helicopter Crash in Minatitlan Kills 8

    What: Heliservicios Campeche Bell 212 helicopter en route from Cd del Carmen en route to Minatitlan in Veracruz
    Where: Las Choapas, Minatitlan Mexico
    When: Oct 15 2010
    Who: 8 aboard
    Why: Witnesses say the helicopter caught fire while still in the air.

    The Heliservicios Campeche helicopter was transporting Petroleos Mexicanos (Pemex) employees at the time of the crash. Two pilots and six Pemex technicians were killed. Their bodies have been recovered.

    Bell 206 Helicopter Crashed in Tennessee; 5 Killed

    A Bell 206 sightseeing helicopter crashed close to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Sevierville, Tennessee, on the afternoon of April 4th.

    The helicopter caught fire right after hitting the ground. Five people lost their lives in the crash.

    The FAA and NTSB are investigating the cause of crash.

    Last Flight of California Aerobatic Champion

    What: Edge E40 in aerobatics competition
    Where: World Aerobatic Championships at Silverstone Circuit Silverstone, Dadford Road, Buckingham.
    When: 12.12pm
    Who: 40-year-old Californian and US Aerobatic Team Champion, President of the International Aerobatic Club Vicki Cruse
    Why: The crash occurred when the pilot was performing a vertical stall. Apparently she wasnt high enough when her engine stalled, or her engine ran out of fuel.
