An Emirates flight made an emergency landing in Ahmedabad, India, on December 22nd.
The plane heading from Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to Yangon, Myanmar, was diverted after a 5-year-old passenger suffered a medical emergency.
The plane landed safely. The child was taken to a hospital.
An Air India flight had to return and make an emergency landing at Newark Liberty International Airport, New Jersey, on April 5.
The airline confirmed the incident saying, “the flight had taken off for Mumbai at around 1650 hours (US time) and landed back at Newark (US) after being airborne for about two hours due to violent vibrations in one of the engines of the Boeing 777-300 ER aircraft.”
There were more than 250 people aboard at the time; all of them remained safe.

Why: The Nordstar Airlines flight was en route over the Mediterranean sea when the plane lost cabin pressure.
Pilots diverted the flight to Anatalya where they made a safe landing with emergency services on standby at 12:22.
Southwest flight 2010 had to return and make an emergency landing at Los Angeles International Airport, California, on October 18.
According to the airline, the plane was heading to San Francisco when the the pilot declared emergency due to a physical altercation between two passengers. Some sources reported that a male passenger choked a female passenger after she reclined the seat in front of him.
The plane landed safely. The male passenger was taken in by FBI agents for questioning.
The airline arranged an alternate plane for the remaining 136 passengers.

What: Air Europa Airbus A330-200 en route from Buenos Aires to Madrid
Where: Rio de Janeiro

Why: While en route, one of the plane’s two engines had to be shut down. The pilot diverted to Rio and made a safe landing with only the left engine.
China Southern Airlines flight CZ6316, had to make an emergency landing at Beijing Capital International Airport in China, on April 14.
The flight was heading from Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province to Shenyang, Liaoning Province, when a passenger, Li, started convulsing and vomiting. The pilot informed the authorities and requested an emergency landing in Beijing.
The plane landed safely after which, Li was immediately shifted to hospital.
The flight resumed shortly afterwards.
Peru’s LAN Airlines flight LPE-599, made an emergency landing at Juan Santamaria International Airport, Costa Rica, on the evening of July 26.
The decision for emergency landing was made after the Airbus A320, en route from Cancun, Mexico to Lima, Peru, experienced electrical problems.
The plane landed safely after circling around to shed extra fuel. All 175 people aboard remained unhurt.
