When: THURSDAY, DECEMBER 25 3 pm
Who: Pilot Steven P. Reamer was killed in the crash. His wife Pamela was airlifted to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
Why: The plane was having engine problems. Witnesses report the motor was sporadic and sputtering

Why: Flight DHV 111 was flying from Lagos when it touched down halfway down the runway in Accra and failed to stop at the end.

ATC may have advised pilots to divert to Abidjan because of the weather.
Police, military and fire as well as the coordinator of National Disaster Management Organisation were on the scene.
The plane was considered totaled, with wing damage, separated tail and collapsed gear. The plane reportedly was Pan Am’s last revenue flight Dec 4, 1991.

PIA Plane makes Safe Landing in Pakistan after Engine Issue
Pakistan International Airlines flight PK-588 made a safe landing at Bahawalpur Airport, Pakistan, on May 17.The Avions de Trasport Regional ATR-42-500, flying from Karachi, Pakistan, was about to land when the crew detected some issue with one of its engines.
The plane landed safely.
No one was injured.

4 Injured After American Airlines Plane Hits Turbulence
American Airlines flight AA-2549 hit severe turbulence near Denver, Colorado, on December 10th.The Boeing 737-800 plane took off from Chicago, Illinois, and was heading to San Diego, California, when it encountered turbulence that injured four people, including three crew members and a passenger.
The plane continued for a safe landing in San Diego.
Small Plane Crashes Near Bixby; No Injuries Reported
A small plane crashed into a field near 151st Street and 161st East Avenue, near Bixby, Oklahoma, at around 11:15 a.m. on March 6.The plane went down while the pilot was attempting an emergency landing due to mechanical issues.
The pilot, identified as Alex Rabbitt, 19, and his only passenger were able to escape unharmed.
The accident is under investigation.
