    American Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Brazil

    American Airlines flight AA-991 made an emergency landing in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, on April 6th.

    The Boeing 767-300 plane flying from Miami, Florida, was on final approach to Belo Horizonte when the crew declared an emergency due to an unsafe gear indication.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    Emergency Landing at LAX

    An American Airlines Boeing 757 en route from Honolulu to Los suffered engine trouble en route and one of its two engines was shut down.

    Flight 246 declared an emergency in one of its two engines. Emergency services was on hand when the flight landed at 5:19 a.m. from Kona.

    No injuries were reported of the 140 passengers and seven crew aboard the flight.

    The last hour was flown on one engine.

    American Airlines Plane Diverts to Tennessee due to Bomb Threat

    American Airlines flight 1804 made an emergency landing at McGhee Tyson Airport, Tennessee, on January 31st.

    The plane flying from Charlotte, North Carolina, to Indianapolis, Indiana, was diverted due to a bomb threat.

    The plane landed uneventfully. Everyone aboard remained safe.

    No explosive material was found upon inspection.

    What: American Airlines Boeing 757-200 en route from New York to Paris
    Where: Halifax /Bangor
    When: Dec 30th 2009
    Who: 180 passengers
    Why: While en route, the discharge from a toilet water leak froze into a block of ice on the fuselage. It broke off and was sucked into the right engine, causing a big bang, which the passengers heard, and causing subsequent engine vibration and a probable oil leak.

    The pilot requested to divert first to Gander, then to Bangor Maine. They landed safely, with no injuries, although 7000 lbs heavy.

    A replacement jet was provided for the passengers.

    American Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Tulsa

    American AirlinesAmerican Airlines flight 19 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on the afternoon of January 30.

    The Airbus A321 had to be diverted after the crew reported issues with bathrooms. The flight was heading from New York to Los Angeles at the time.

    The plane, carrying 79 passengers and 8 crew members, landed uneventfully.

    An airline spokesperson said the company refueled the aircraft and serviced the bathrooms.

    The flight again departed at around 3:45 p.m.
