    KLMKLM flight KL-1072 had a cabin pressure problem shortly after it took off from Manchester, United Kingdom, on April 9th.

    The Boeing 737-900 plane was heading to Amsterdam, Netherlands, when it experienced problems with cabin pressure. According to the airline, the oxygen masks were released for the passengers and the crew was able to restore the air conditioning system after around 13 minutes.

    The plane landed safely. All 138 passengers aboard remained unhurt.

    A small plane made an emergency landing in Tennessee River at Decatur, Alabama, on April 7th.

    The pilot of the small seaplane said he was doing some survey work for a proposed water pipeline when the aircraft’s battery failed, forcing him to make an emergency landing.

    Both occupants of the plane, including the pilot Peter Serodino, of Chattanooga, and his only passenger, remained unharmed.

    The plane was towed to a nearby marina.

    EasyJet Plane Returns to the Stand after Spanner was Spotted in the Wing

    EasyjetA 25-year-old Swiss passenger prevented a potential aviation disaster after reporting that a spanner was stuck in the plane’s wing.

    Just moments before the EasyJet flight EZS1465 was scheduled to take off, Christophe spotted the spanner and immediately told the airline personnel.

    According to the airline, “easyJet can confirm that EZS1465 from Geneva to Copenhagen on 4 March retuned to stand prior to departure from Geneva as a result of a passenger informing crew about noticing an object in the wing… In line with our procedures, the captain took the decision to return to stand for it to be investigated. A spanner was discovered and removed and the flight departed with a small delay.”

    The incident is being investigated.

    The Airbus A320, heading from Marrakesh, Morocco, to Gatwick Airport, United Kingdom, had to be diverted after a drunk male passenger tried to open an emergency door mid-air.

    The plane landed safely. The man was escorted out of the plane by the French police.

    The airline confirmed the incident and said, “easyJet’s cabin crew are trained to assess and evaluate all situations and to act quickly and appropriately to ensure that the safety of the flight and other passengers is not compromised at any time.     The passenger plane was en-route from Krakow, Poland, to Ovda airport, Israel, when two fighter planes, engaged in the training exercises, came “dangerously close”. The Ryanair pilots changed the course at the last minute to avert the crash.

    The flight FR-2616 was carrying 162 passengers at the time.

    The airline confirmed the incident but said that “These military aircraft were at all times over 3 miles away from the Ryanair aircraft, so the reports of a ‘nearly crash’ or ‘evasive manoeuvres’ are all false and invented. All passengers on board the Ryanair aircraft noticed nothing, since our aircraft never diverted from its cleared flight path to Ovda.”

    The passenger, who apparently told the crew members that he opened the emergency exit door “just for fun”, was escorted to a local police station by security forces.

    Local media identified him as Steve Titschler, of Germany.
