    The Airbus A320-200 plane was heading to Moscow, Russia, when it experienced a lightning strike.

    However, the crew reported that there were no adverse indications and decided to continue the flight.

    The flight, en-route from Islamabad, Pakistan, to London Heathrow Airport, England, had to make an emergency stop, after a passenger suffered heart attack midair.

    The plane landed safely. The airline arranged an ambulance for the passenger, identified as Pervez Iqbal.

    The flight resumed shortly afterwards.

    Escape Raft Falls Out as Air India Passenger Opens the Door at Moscow Airport

    airindia2Last week, the escape raft of an Air India Dreamliner fell out while it was preparing to take off at Moscow airport, Russia.

    The plane was being pushed back for takeoff when a passenger opened a door, resulting in the raft falling onto the aerobridge. The passenger later told the airline officials, “I was about to take my seat when I heard a staffer knocking on the window asking to open the door. So I opened the door without realizing that I shouldn’t have opened it.” Another passenger said, “As the door opened, there was a sudden hissing sound, followed by a loud thud, and that was when the flight attendants noticed the passenger’s errant behaviour. It was too late to stop him.”

    The incident could cause serious injuries to the on-ground crew and vehicles if the rift had not fallen on the aerobridge.

    Total CEO Killed in Moscow Plane Crash

    A business plane collided with a snow removal machine at Vnukovo International Airport in Moscow, Russia, on the night of October 20.

    Christophe de Margerie, the Chief Executive Officer of French oil company Total S.A., was aboard the aircraft at the time. The company confirmed that he was killed in the accident.

    Three French crew members were also killed in the crash.

    Authorities said that the French-made Dassault Falcon 50 corporate plane was taking off for France when it collided with the snow removal machine. The driver of the machine remained uninjured.

    Moscow transport investigators said that they had launched a criminal investigation and that French authorities would also be invited to participate.

    S7 Airline Fender Bender cancels flight

    An S7 Airlines Boeing 737 that was scheduled to fly from Moscow to Ekaterinburg, Russia, was on the ground packed with passengers ready to go when a truck collided with the fuselage.

    Thanks to the damage, the flight was cancelled.

    Passengers exited on to the tarmac.

    Plane Makes Emergency Landing at Sheremetyevo International Airport, Moscow

    A plane that left Moscow, Russia, for Yerevan, Armenia, had to return and make an emergency landing at Moscow Airport due to technical problems, on May 25.

    The plane, belonging to Aeroflot Company, landed successfully at the Sheremetyevo International Airport, about 30 minutes after it took off.

    Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan was also aboard the plane. He was in Moscow to attend the 3rd conference on international security.
