American Airlines Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Iowa
American Airlines flight AA-2023 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Des Moines International Airport, Polk County, Iowa, on March 18.
The Airbus A321-200, flying from Chicago, Illinois to Phoenix, Arizona, was mid-air above Iowa when the crew detected smoke in the cockpit, causing it to divert.
The plane landed uneventfully.
All 196 people onboard remained unhurt.
The incident is under investigation.

Air Canada flight AC-942 had to divert and make an emergency landing at John F. Kennedy Airport, New York, USA, on March 2nd.
