A SpiceJet aircraft was hit by a bird while landing at Rajahmundry airport in Andhra Pradesh, India, at about 12 noon on July 26.
As per the details, a bird struck one of the engines of the aircraft, which was carrying 56 passengers aboard at the time. The pilot managed to land the aircraft safely, without declaring emergency. None of the passengers or crew members was hurt.
Spice Jet authorities had dispatched engineers from Hyderabad to Rajahmundry to repair the aircraft. The authorities expect the plane to be in the air by July 27.
