    Plane Crash Near Zimbabwe-Mozambique Border Kills 6

    A small plane crashed in the Vumba Mountains in Zimbabwe, on March 27th.

    The plane was heading from Beira, Mozambique, to Mutare, Zimbabwe when it went down.

    There were 6 people aboard, including 2 crew members and 4 passengers; all of them were killed in the crash.

    The accident is being investigated.

    Japanese Coast Guard Helicopter Lost at Sea

    What: Japanese Coast Guard Bell 412EP “Akizuru”
    Where: off Kagawa, Shikoku Japan
    When: August 8 2010
    Who: 5 occupants 4 fatalities
    Why: Akizuru hit offshore power lines and crashed into the sea. The five member crew was missing; but the remains of 4 were found by searchers. One is still missing.

    Cargo Flight lost in Lagoon in San Juan, Puerto Rico

    What: Jet One Express Convair CV-340 en route from San Juan to St. Maarten
    Where: San Juan
    When: Mar 15th 2012
    Who: 2 crew
    Why: On takeoff, the Corvair developed engine trouble. They consulted with ATC and decided to return to the airport but instead ended up in the La Torrecilla Lagoon. Witnesses saw the plane trailing smoke as it approached.

    The pilot and copilot died on impact. The flight has been confirmed as flight 440 to Luis Munoz Marin International Airport. It was a cargo flight with only two crew aboard.

    Divers are working to retrieve the bodies from the underwater wreckage. No names have been released.

    Jet One has an office in Boca Raton Florida since Thursday, June 15, 2000 in the state of Florida when it filed as a Domestic for Profit Corporation.

    Unexplained Helicopter Crash in Grande Cache

    What: Sarvair AviationRobinson R44 (owned and operated by Klint Sarver) en route from Grande Prairie to Grande Cache
    Where: about 50 km before reaching its destination Grande Cache, Alta
    When: 6 p.m. Friday night. (rescue saturday Jan 31) ,
    Who: Passenger and pilot are recovering.
    Why: The crash is under investigation; it is thought that the helicopter flipped and slammed into a mountain. The pilot has a punctured lung and other injuries; and was transported to Grande Prairie. Passenger was uninjured.

    Helicopter Crash in Russia; German tourists lost

    What: Kamchatka Airlines Mil Mi-8T helicopter
    Where: Elizovo, Kamchatka Russia
    When: April 9 2010
    Who: 18 aboard, 7 fatalities
    Why: After an avalanche, the bodies of 7 German tourists aboard a helicopter have been recovered. Two survivors (the captain and one tourist) have been taken to a medical center and search is ongoing for the rest of those aboard. Inhospitable mountainous terrain is impeding the search

    Two survive ROBINSON Crash in Utah

    On July 8, 2013 on 8:30 a.m, a 28-year-old pilot and his 24-year-old student were performing a training exercise in a ROBINSON R22 #N712U when it crashed and rolled downhill in the Tibble Fork Reservoir area of the American Fork Canyon.

    Both the pilot and student exited the plane on their own feet after just missing slamming into the mountain.

    The emergency response team responded to the pilot’s 911 call, searched the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest and found the wreckage in under an hour after hiking half a mile uphill.

    The pilot told 911 that the helicopter was knocked from the sky by a gust of wind.
