    Lord Ballyedmond Among The Four Deceased in Norfolk Helicopter Crash

    A civilian helicopter crash, near Beccles, Norfolk,UK claimed four lives. The deceased include Lord Ballyedmond, who was a Northern Ireland peer and industrialist.3

    The accident happened at around 19:30 GMT, when the area was covered in thick fog. All four passengers died at the spot.

    Some witnesses have reported that the helicopter crashed soon after it took off.

    Piper Crash in Castalla Alicante


    On March 19, 2013, an Aeroclub de Muchamiel Piper PA-28-161 Cherokee Warrior en route from Spain’s MUTXAMEL airport had three people aboard when it suffered some kind of mechanical problem, possibly engine failure.

    A fourteen year old girl, Belen, along with her father, Jose Antonio Perez, and uncle Ricardo died in the crash at 12: 37.

    The uncle was the pilot and flight instructor.

    The plane crashed in Paraeta Espí, in an olive grove 500 meters from the town called Ibi. On impact, the cabin broke in two, and left a debris field with a hundred yard radius.

    Local residents reported the crash to authorities. The Guardia Civil (local police) arrived on the scene. The bodies were removed by four in the afternoon and taken to the Forensic Anatomical Institute of Alicante for autopsies.

    Eyewitnesses say the plane had been circling and flying very low as if looking for somewhere to land, and the pilot dodged cottages when it came down.

    Mexico: Crash Kills 5

    What: Fuerza Aérea Mexicana Antonov 32B
    Where: Monterrey-General Mariano Escobedo International Airport, Monterrey Mexico
    When: November 24, 2010, 14:36
    Who: three officials and two crew members
    Why: The Air Squadron 301 plane(#FAM-3101) attempted a takeoff from Monterrey-General Mariano Escobedo International Airport. The flight was to a military air base in Santa Lucia. After takeoff from runway 11, the plane crashed right of runway 16/34. The flight missed striking two jets.

    The Mexican Department of Defense mourns Miguel Ángel García Posada, José passenger Carmen González Peña, the rider Victor Manuel Gabriel Martinez, Alberto Valenzuela electrical and mechanical Blanco José Luis Morales Hernández.

    Se accidentó aeronave de la Fuerza Aérea Mexicana en Monterrey, N.L.

    Lomas de Sotelo, D.F. a 24 de noviembre del 2010.- La Secretaría de la Defensa Nacional informa, que aproximadamente a las 1436 horas de esta fecha, el avión Antonov matrícula 3101 perteneciente a la Fuerza Aérea Mexicana, se accidentó en el aeropuerto internacional de la ciudad de Monterrey, N.L.

    Dicha aeronave se encontraba destacada en el Escuadrón Aéreo 301 ubicado en la Base Aérea Militar No. 1, en Santa Lucía, Estado de México y cubría un vuelo logístico de Monterrey, N.L., con destino a la Base Aérea indicada.

    El percance ocurrió al efectuar el despegue y lamentablemente fallecieron tres oficiales y dos elementos de tropa, integrantes de la tripulación.

    El personal de Generales, Jefes, Oficiales y Tropa del Ejército y Fuerza Aérea Mexicanos, se suman a las expresiones de condolencias de nuestro Comandante Supremo, Maestro FELIPE CALDERÓN HINOJOSA, Presidente de la República, dirigidas a los familiares de nuestros compañeros de armas que perdieron la vida en el cumplimiento de su deber, a quienes se les proporcionarán los apoyos correspondientes y las prestaciones sociales a que tienen derecho.

    Cropdusting Chopper Crash in S. Africa


    On Jan 18, 2013, a private crop dusting Bell 47 helicopter near Dunstan Farrell TB hospital in Hibberdene S. Africa developed an engine problem.

    A witness says the pilot struck a tree while spraying a field of ground nuts.

    The ambulance company received the call at 9:00 a.m.

    The pilot managed to land in a sugar cane field before the helicopter caught fire. The pilot escaped by pushing out the glass, and suffered minor injuries but the helicopter was a total loss. He was hospitalized. There wasn’t much more than the tail left remaining of the cropduster.

    Carolina Beach Rd Helicopter Crash Thursday March 13, 2008

    Thursday March 13, 2008-Pilot John C. Miller, 18 year veteran firefighter, died in a helicopter crash behind Strickland Surplus Inc. at 5915 Carolina Beach Road in North Carolina. Miller was a member of a water rescue and recovery team and captain of Station 5. He ran a business, Wilmington Helicopter Rental & Training, and was about to take his final test to become a certified instructor. The helicoptor was a (year 2000) Robinson R22 Beta, a “trainer”. Miller was the only person on board the two seater.

    The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating.
