    Small Plane Crashes in New Jersey; Pilot Killed

    A small plane crashed in a marshy area of Bass River State Forest, New Jersey, on the afternoon of November 20th.

    According to sources, the aircraft was flying from Maryland to the Ocean County Airport.

    William Lindley, 75, who was the only person aboard, lost his life in the crash.

    The incident remains under investigation.

    Chopper Pilot from Belarus Dies in Congo Crash

    Where: Badondo north of Brazzaville, Congo
    When: Nov 15, 2011
    Who: 4 aboard, 1 fatality
    Why: The military chopper which had been chartered by a mining company crashed during bad weather when it tried to land.

    The pilot, Alexandre Kossiarev, was from Belarus and died in the crash.

    Three passengers were injured.

    Three Soldiers and Two Civilians Die in Colombian Helicopter Accident

    On JAN 9 2014, a Sociedad Aeronáutica de Santander (SASA) Bell 206L-3 LongRanger
    # HK-4462 en route from Puerto Berrío to Anori was north of Anori, Colombia when it suffered controlled flight into terrain, striking a mountain. No one aboard survived the impact. Three soldiers and two civilians died on the 9th when the helicopter went missing.

    The Seventh Division of the National Army had made a public statement that the aircraft, affiliated with the Aeronautical Society of Santander was “transporting a priest and military personnel assigned to the Fourteenth Brigade”.

    The helicopter crew failed to check in on Thursday afternoon and was located on Friday in rural Anori. Fatalities were two soldiers, one police, one military priest and the pilot.

    Director of the Department of Care andPrevention of Disasters César Hernández confirmed the fatalities.

    Helicopter Carrying Ivanka Trump Suffers Engine Failure

    A helicopter carrying first daughter Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner made an emergency landing at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, Virginia, on March 15th.

    The Sikorsky helicopter, en-route to New York, had to return after one of its engines failed.

    The couple boarded a commercial flight after the helicopter landed back safely.

    Small Plane Ran Out of Fuel, Crashed near Port Alsworth

    A small plane crashed some 20 miles northwest of Port Alsworth, Alaska, on May 26.

    The plane was en-route to Port Alsworth when it ran out of fuel and went down. Alaska State Troopers located it Tuesday night through a personal locator beacon.

    There were 3 people aboard, including the pilot Mark McNeill, 61, and his passengers Rocky McElveen, 64 and Talon Heying, 24. All of them remained uninjured.

    Nagaland Governor’s Helicopter Lands in Emergency Due to Bad Weather

    A Pawan Hans helicopter carrying Nagaland’s Governor Padmanabha Balakrishna Acharya made an emergency landing at a helipad in the premises of Bairagi Para Junior Basic School in Kalyanpur in western Tripura, India, in the afternoon of August 19.

    According to the authorities, the helicopter with Governor Acharya and his wife Kavita aboard took off from Dimapur, made a stop at Imphal airport for refueling and was scheduled to land at Agartala airport. However, due to extremely bad weather, the pilot could not land at Agartala and instead landed about 40 km north in Kalyanpur.

    Acharya and his wife had a good time with the students and also tasted the mid-day meal served by the school, according to Banamali Sinha, principal secretary in-charge of the Raj Bhavan secretariat. The police then escorted them to Dak Bunglow.

    The helicopter was able to fly back to Agartala airport around 4:30 p.m., after getting clearance from the Air Traffic Controller.
