Pilot Injured After Small Plane Crashes in West Jordan, Utah

A small plane crashed in field in West Jordan, Utah, on August 24th.

The plane went down shortly after taking off from South Valley Regional Airport. Authorities said it struck multiple power lines and sparked a small grass fire.

The pilot, who was the only one aboard, sustained minor injuries. He was taken to a hospital.

Small Plane Crashed in Louisiana; No Injuries Reported

A small plane crashed in a hay field in Ascension Parish, Louisiana, on August 17th.

Authorities said the Beechcraft Bonanza plane had lost power shortly after taking off from Louisiana Regional Airport.

There were two people aboard at the time; both of them remained uninjured.

Spring Airlines Flight Diverts to Shenyang, China

Spring Airlines flight 9C-8617 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Shenyang, China, on February 18th.

The Airbus A320-200 plane heading from Harbin, China, to Nagoya, Japan, was diverted after a smartphone and a power bank caught fire in the overhead locker.

The crew had cooled down the items before the plane landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

Small Plane Crashed in Bayonne, New Jersey; Pilot Injured

A Piper PA-28 plane crashed in a residential area in Bayonne, New Jersey, on February 19th.

The plane went down on Avenue E between 41st and 42nd streets, knocking out some power lines.

The pilot, who was the only one aboard, was injured and was taken to Saint Barnabas Medical Center, New Jersey.

The cause of accident is being investigated.

Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Sauk County

A small plane made an emergency landing on U.S. Highway 12 in Sauk County, Wisconsin, on December 28th.

The pilot, Stephan Arnold, 69, of Madison, was forced to land on the highway after the plane lost power.

The pilot and his only passenger remained unharmed.

The plane was flying from Sauk-Prairie Airport in Prairie Du Sac, Wisconsin, at the time.

A small plane made an emergency landing in a field in Fresno, California, on November 18th.

Authorities said the pilot decided to land near Highway 180 and Marks Avenue after the plane experienced an issue with the power.

Light Plane Crash Lands in Western Australia after Losing Power

A two-seater light plane crash landed on to a service road near Muirs Highway in Mount Barker, Western Australia, on September 5th.

The RV9 lost all its power while the pilot was trying to make an emergency landing and hit the trees before crash landing.

The pilot and his wife were rescued with minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.

Delta Airlines Plane Makes Emergency Landing due to APU Problem

The plane was en-route from Norfolk, Virginia to Atlanta, Georgia, when the crew reported issues with the Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) and decided to divert to Myrtle Beach for an emergency landing.

The plane landed safely. There were 160 passengers and 6 crew members aboard at the time; all of them remained safe.

Student Pilot Survives Small Plane Crash in Massachusetts

A small Cessna 150 lost power and crash landed in Littleton, Massachusetts, on August 19th.

According to sources the plane was at 2000 feet when it was seen coming down and crashing into a wooded area.

The pilot was successfully pulled out of the plane and received no injuries.

Hot Air Balloon Crashes in Texas; 16 Killed

A hot air balloon crashed near the small town of Lockhart, Caldwell County, Texas, on the morning of July 30th.

According to sources the hot air balloon hit the power transmission lines and its basket caught fire, leading to the crash.

All 16 people on board were killed.

Delta Airlines Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Detroit

The Boeing 767-300 plane took off for San Francisco, California, but had to return shortly afterwards due to an issue with one of the redundant power systems.

The plane landed uneventfully. There were 244 passengers aboard at the time; all of them remained safe.

V Air Plane Returns to Taipei due to Overheated Lithium Power Bank

V AirV Air flight ZV-252 had to return and make an emergency landing in Taipei, Taiwan, on May 6th.

The Airbus A321-200 took off for Tokyo, Japan, but had to return shortly afterwards after smoke was seen emanating from a lithium power bank carried by a passenger.

The plane landed uneventfully. All 161 people aboard remained safe.

Light Plane Crashes into Paddock in Australia; Pilot Injured

A light plane was crashed near Upper Maffra Road, in the town of Newry, Victoria, Australia, on the afternoon of April 3rd.

The plane hit the power lines before crashing into a paddock.

The pilot, who was the only person aboard, sustained injuries. He was later airlifted to hospital.

Yamal Airlines Plane Diverts and Makes Emergency Landing in Russia

Small Plane Crashed in Waushara County

A small plane crashed in Marion town, Waushara County, Wisconsin, on March 12th.

Authorities said the plane lost power before it went down in a marsh near 21st Court.

The pilot, who was the only one aboard, was injured. He was taken to Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah.

The FAA is investigating.

Plane Crashes into Long Island Sound; 3 Rescued, 1 Missing

A small plane crashed into Setauket Harbor, Long Island Sound, New York, on February 20.

The Piper PA-28 was flying from Massachusetts when it lost engine power, prompting the pilots to make a crash-landing.

There were four people aboard at the time, including the student pilot Austricio Ramirez who was flying the plane when it began experiencing issues, and the instructor pilot Nelson Gomez who took over the control afterwards and landed the plane in Setauket Harbor.

Authorities said Ramirez, Gomez, and a third passenger Wady Perez were rescued by the officers. The fourth person, identified as 23-year-old Gerson Salmon-Negron, remains missing.

The FAA and the NTSB are investigating.

Two Injured after Small Plane Crashed in Robertson County

A Cessna 210 crashed near the intersection of Jack Rabbit Lane and OSR East in Robertson County, Tennessee, on February 16.

The plane was en-route from Arlington to College Station, Texas, when it lost engine power and went down on the Circle X Ranch.

There were three people aboard at the time; two of them, including James Guinn, 54, and his wife Kay, sustained non life-threatening injuries while the third passenger, identified as Melinda Guinn, 76, of Arlington, remained uninjured.

The FAA is investigating.

Alaska Airlines Plane Diverts to Honolulu

The plane was heading from Kahului, Hawaii, to Portland, Oregon, when the crew decided to divert due to a fault in the auxiliary power unit.

The plane landed uneventfully. There were 152 passengers and 6 crew members aboard at the time; all of them remained unhurt.

The airline arranged a replacement plane for the passengers.

Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing at Millville Municipal Airport

A 1960 Piper Comanche single-engine plane made an emergency landing at Millville Municipal Airport, Cumberland County, New Jersey, on December 4.

Authorities said the plane was taking off when it lost power and landed on its belly on the grass near a taxiway.

There were two people aboard at the time, including the pilot Roger Buck of Berlin and his passenger Roland Arthur of Lumberton. Buck sustained minor injuries in the incident while Arthur remained unhurt.

The plane, registered to Buck, was significantly damaged.

The FAA is investigating.

Small Plane Crashed near the Bahamas; 1 Dead, 10 Injured

SeaA Navajo Chieftain aircraft, operated by Ferguson Air and conducting a charter flight for Southern Air, crashed near New Providence Island in the Bahamas on December 2.

The plane took off from Governor’s Harbour in Eleuthera Island and was making an approach to the Lynden Pindling International Airport in New Providence airport when it lost power. According to the police, the pilot informed the authorities that he was facing some problems and attempted to bring the plane near shallow water before it crashed.

A 77-year-old U.S. man was killed in the accident. His identity has not yet been disclosed.

The other 10 people, including the pilot, were injured and were shifted to Doctors Hospital in Nassau.
