A small plane crashed into a tree in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, on September 16th.

Authorities said the Piper J3C-65 plane went down in the 200 block of McKenzie Road, Hanover.

A small plane made an emergency landing on Highway 441 in Jackson County, Georgia, on August 15th.

Authorities said the pilot of the Piper PA-24 plane decided to land on the highway due to an engine failure.

The plane landed safely. No injuries were reported.

3 Killed, 1 Injured After Small Plane Crashes in Switzerland

A Piper PA-28 plane crashed near the Diavolezza mountain in Switzerland, on August 4th.

The incident happened when the plane was transporting three teenagers who were participating in a week-long youth camp organized by Swiss Aero Club.

Three people, including the pilot and two 14-year old boys were killed in the crash. A 17-year-old girl was injured and was flown to a hospital in serious condition.

Two Killed After Small Plane Crashes in Topeka, Kansas

A small plane crashed near Philip Billard Municipal Airport in Topeka, Kansas, on July 31st.

The 1965 Piper PA-30 fixed wing plane was carrying two people when it went down.

Both occupants were killed in the crash. They were identified as pilot William Leeds, 76, of Mission, Kansas, and co-pilot James Bergman, 55, of Leawood, Kansas.

The deceased was identified as Pablo Campos Isona, 31, of East Haven.

The injured passenger was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital.

The plane was heading from Richmond International Airport, Virginia, to St. Catharines/Niagara District Airport, Ontario, Canada, when it went down in Keating Township.

Three were three people aboard at the time; all of them were killed in the crash. They were identified as 18-year-old Cory Mijac, 25-year-old Rifat Tawig, and 18-year-old Benjamin Jeffries. All of them were from Ontario, Canada.

Small Plane Crashes in New Mexico

A small plane crashed shortly after taking off from Grants-Milan Municipal Airport, Grants, Cibola County, New Mexico, on the evening of September 26th.

The Piper PA-32R-300, carrying 2 passengers and the pilot, had its engine sputtering before it went down.

All three people miraculously survived the crash with no injuries whereas the plane burst into flames.

The plane debris was found the next morning.

All 4 people onboard including 3 crew members and one patient were killed.

Pilot Killed after Small Plane Crashed in Plainfield, IL

A Piper PA30 plane crashed in Plainfield, Illinois, on July 21st.

The plane was heading to Wisconsin when it went down, causing a house to catch fire.

The pilot Garry T. Bernardo, 58, of Lake Worth, Florida, was killed in the crash. He was the only person aboard the plane.

The 6-seat Piper 32 plane was heading from Venice, Italy, to Leipzig, Germany, when it went down.

The plane was registered in the United States.

Plane Crashes into Long Island Sound; 3 Rescued, 1 Missing

A small plane crashed into Setauket Harbor, Long Island Sound, New York, on February 20.

The Piper PA-28 was flying from Massachusetts when it lost engine power, prompting the pilots to make a crash-landing.

There were four people aboard at the time, including the student pilot Austricio Ramirez who was flying the plane when it began experiencing issues, and the instructor pilot Nelson Gomez who took over the control afterwards and landed the plane in Setauket Harbor.

Authorities said Ramirez, Gomez, and a third passenger Wady Perez were rescued by the officers. The fourth person, identified as 23-year-old Gerson Salmon-Negron, remains missing.

The FAA and the NTSB are investigating.

A small plane made an emergency landing in a grassy area near U.S. 380 in Denton, Texas, on January 22.

The Piper Navajo plane took off from Denton Enterprise Airport for a routine maintenance flight but was forced to land in emergency due to engine issues.

A small Piper fixed-wing aircraft had to make an emergency landing in a field off Labette Road and Louisiana Road near Ottawa, Franklin County, Kansas, on January 19.
