    The plane flying from Amsterdam, Netherlands, to Manchester, England, was diverted after the crew became aware that one of the tires had burst during departure. An airline spokesperson said the plane was diverted as a “precautionary measure to take into consideration more favorable wind conditions”

    The plane landed safely. All 76 people aboard remained unhurt.

    The plane heading to Beijing, China, was diverted due to bad weather. The team was on its way to face Manchester City on July 25th.

    Club manager Jose Mourinho said at a news conference, “We were supposed to fly with two different planes, with half of us in one plane and half in the other… The ones in the first plane was lucky because we landed safely and were in the hotel to have dinner. The second group was unlucky. The plane was not good. They had to make an unscheduled landing for a couple of hours, and then they arrived in the hotel to have dinner at one o’clock in the morning. But they had it with a smile on their faces which is good.”

    The airline confirmed that the Airbus A320-200 plane, heading from Liverpool, England, to Faro, Portugal, was diverted due to a technical issue.

    An airport spokesperson confirmed the incident saying, “An aircraft from Frankfurt to New York JFK made a divert into Manchester Airport this evening and landed safely with approximately 360 people on board.”

The passengers disembarked the aircraft as normal and have been transferred to the terminal and are awaiting a replacement aircraft to Bilbao…We would like to apologise for any inconvenience experienced due to the delay.”

    Thomas Cook Flight Returns to Manchester Airport

    The Boeing 767, carrying 278 passengers, took off from Manchester Airport at around 7:15 a.m. and was on its way to Dalaman, Turkey, when the crew declared emergency and decided to return.

    According to a Thomas Cook spokesperson, the decision for emergency landing was made as a precaution due to an unexpected hydraulic fault in the aircraft.

    The plane landed uneventfully after circling over Peak District National Park to shed off extra fuel. No one was hurt.

    The airline said, “We’d like to apologise to our customers for the delay to their flight today. Returning the aircraft to Manchester allowed our engineers to inspect the aircraft quickly and we’ve now been able to ensure our customers can start their holiday as soon as possible on a replacement aircraft.”

    Lufthansa Flight Makes Unscheduled Landing due to Medical Emergency

    The incident happened when the flight was en route from Munich, Germany to Chicago.

    The Airbus A340-600 dumped fuel over Greater Manchester before landing safely at the airport shortly after 5 p.m.

    The sick passenger was taken to Wythenshawe Hospital for treatment. The nature of illness is not yet known.

    Bomb Hoax Forces Qatar Airways Passenger jet to Make Emergency Landing

    QatarThe Qatar Airways flight QR23 made an emergency landing at Manchester airport at about 1 p.m. on August 5, on suspicion of a possible explosive device on board.

    The flight was en route from Doha to Manchester when the crew received a threat regarding a possible device on the Airbus A330. Royal Air Force fighter Typhoon jet aircrafts were then sent to escort the plane which was carrying 269 passengers and 13 crew members at the time.

    Chief Supt John O’Hare said: “An incoming plane has been escorted into the airport by the Royal Air Force, as a result of information received by the pilot about a possible device on board….We don’t know how genuine this threat is but it is absolutely vital we deal with the situation as a full emergency.”

    The plane landed safely. The passengers were evacuated and the plane was thoroughly searched. However, no device was found.

    The British police arrested a 47 year old passenger on suspicion of making bomb hoax threat.

    Manchester’s runways remained closed for 25 minutes, and nine inbound flights were diverted to other airports.

    FedEx Plane Lands in Emergency at Nashville

    FedExFedEx flight 1412, on its way from Memphis International Airport to Manchester, New Hampshire, made an emergency landing at Nashville International Airport in Nashville, Tennessee at about 5 a.m. on July 2.

    The incident happened after smoke was noticed in the cockpit of the cargo plane.

    The plane landed without incident. The pilot and the co-pilot were the only people aboard; both of them remained unharmed.

    According to a FedEx spokesperson, the company is working with the authorities to determine the cause of incident.
