    A small plane crashed while taking off at Greenville Municipal Airport, Greenville, Montcalm County, Michigan, on September 11th.

    The Piper Super Cub PA18 was carrying two men at the time.

    Both the passengers sustained injuries and were taken to hospital.

    A single-engine Cessna plane crashed into Trinity River near Highway 105, Liberty County, Texas, on the evening of September 3rd.

    According to sources, there were two men onboard and the pilot was doing flips and barrel rolls before the plane crashed.

    The pilot and his friend lost their lives in the crash.

    TV Star, Co-Pilot Killed in Tragic Plane Crash in Montana

    A Cessna 182 crashed on the side of Interstate 90 while trying to land at Rock Creek Airstrip, Missoula County, Montana, on August 28th.

    The plane was carrying History Channel star Darrell Ward and his co-pilot at the time.

    Ward was on his way to begin filming a documentary about the recovery of plane wreckage.

    Both people aboard lost their lives.

    All 4 people were evacuated out of the plane with minor injuries.

    The injured were taken to hospital.

    A hot air balloon crashed near the small town of Lockhart, Caldwell County, Texas, on the morning of July 30th.

    According to sources the hot air balloon hit the power transmission lines and its basket caught fire, leading to the crash.

    All 16 people on board were killed.

    The crash remains under investigation.

    REACH Aircraft Crashes in California; 4 Killed

    REACH AirA REACH Air Medical Services aircraft crashed in Humboldt County, North Coast, California, on July 29th.

    The Piper PA31 flying from Crescent City Airport, to Oakland International Airport, California, was mid-air when the crew declared emergency due to smoke in its cockpit, and later it lost connection with radar.

    The plane debris was found the next morning.

    All 4 people onboard including 3 crew members and one patient were killed.

    1 Killed in Graves County Helicopter Crash

    A helicopter crashed at a Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) site in Graves County, Kentucky, on July 11th.

    The Bell 407 helicopter went down while it was attempting to land at the site located between Paducah and Mayfield.

    The pilot, who was the only one aboard, was killed in the crash. He was identified as John Love of Maryville, Tennessee. TVA authorities confirmed that Love had been an employee for 17 years.

    The cause of crash is being investigated.

    Pilot Injured after Small Plane Crashed in Rhea County

    A small plane crashed on Dayton Mountain in Rhea County, Tennessee, on June 20th.

    The plane went down when the pilot was heading from Illinois to Atlanta, Georgia.

    The pilot was injured in the crash and was taken to Erlanger Medical Center, Chattanooga.

    The incident is under investigation.

    SkyWest Airlines Plane Returns to Michigan to ADG deployment

    SkyWestSkyWest Airlines flight had to return and make an emergency landing at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport, Detroit, Michigan, on June 4th.

    The Canadair CRJ-200, en-route to Ithaca, New York, had to return shortly after the crew reported that its ADG (Air Driven Generator) had deployed.

    The plane landed uneventfully. All people onboard remained safe.

    The passengers were accommodated in a replacement plane.

    Small Plane Crash-Lands in Stafford County; Pilot Injured

    A small plane crash-landed near Interstate 95 in Stafford County, Virginia, on June 6th.

    The state police said in a statement, “A single-seat, experimental aircraft was conducting a high-speed taxi on the runway of the Stafford Regional Airport, when the aircraft unintentionally lifted off the runway…The aircraft cleared the Centreport Parkway before crash-landing into an embankment alongside the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 at the 137 mile marker.”

    The pilot Roberta A. Boucher, 62, was seriously injured in the incident. She taken to Mary Washington Hospital.

    The incident is being investigated.

    A small plane crashed at the Ravalli County Airport in Hamilton, Montana, on June 4th.

    The plane was attempting to land at the airport when its left wing struck the ground, causing it to flip over. The plane was flying from Idaho at the time.

    There were three people aboard, including the pilot and two passengers; one of them was injured in the incident while the other two remained unharmed.

    The FAA and the NTSB are investigating.

    A small plane had to make a crash landing at Mineta San Jose International Airport, San Jose, Santa Clara County, California, on March 24.

    The Plaggio P180 was seen circling over San Jose and Willow Glen, and it was reported that there was a mechanical issue, due to which the crew opted for a crash landing.

    The plane landed uneventfully.

    It turned out that there was a problem with the rear landing gear.

    All people aboard remained unharmed.
