All Nippon Airways Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Tokyo

All Nippon Airways flight NH-273 had to return and make an emergency landing in Tokyo, Japan, on January 26th.

The Boeing 777-300 plane took off for Fukuoka, Japan, but had to turn back after the crew needed to shut down one of the engines.

The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

Kalstar Aviations flight Returns to Banjarmasin due to Engine Fire Indication

Kalstar AviationKalstar Aviation flight KD-931 had to return and make an emergency landing at Syamsudin Noor Airport, Banjarmasin, Indonesia, on April 15.

The Avions de Transport Regional ATR-72-212A, en-route to Kotabaru, Indonesia, had to return due to fire indication for one of its engines. The crew had to shut the engine down mid-air.

The plane landed safely.

No one was injured.

Shanghai- Bound China Eastern Flight Diverts after Engine Failure

China Eastern flight MU-5602 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Qingdao Liuting International Airport, Shandong, China, on January 31.

The Airbus A321-200, flying from Shenyang, to Shanghai, China, had to divert due to engine failure. One of its engines had to be shut down mid-air.

The plane landed uneventfully.

No injuries were reported.

Delta Airlines Plane Returns to Oregon due to Over-speeding Engine

250px-Delta_logo.svgDelta Airlines flight DL-1831 had to return and make an emergency landing at Portland International Airport, Portland, Oregon, on October 30.

The Boeing 757-200, flying to Salt Lake City in Utah, had to return due to an engine problem. The right side engine of the plane had to be shut down as it was over speeding the aircraft.

The Plane landed safely.

All 169 passengers and 6 crew members aboard remained unhurt.

Flybe Flight Makes Emergency Landing after Engine Shut Down

flybeFlybe flight BE6938 was forced to return and make an emergency landing in Kirkwall, Scotland, on September 24.

The Saab 340 turboprop jet, operated by Loganair, had to be diverted after the crew shut down its left engine due to a warning indication. The flight was en-route to Inverness, Scotland at the time.

The plane landed uneventfully. All 32 people aboard remained unharmed.

A replacement aircraft was arranged for the passengers.

UPS Plane Makes Emergency Landing at Shannon Airport

UPSUnited Parcel Service flight 213 had to make an emergency landing at Shannon Airport, Ireland, on September 25.

The McDonnell Douglas MD-11 plane, heading from Louisville, Kentucky to Cologne, Germany, was diverted after the pilots noticed issues with one of its three engines and had to shut it down.

The plane landed safely. There were 6 crew members aboard at the time; none of them was hurt.

The plane was taken for inspection.

Delta Airlines Plane Returns to Amsterdam after Engine Shut Down

The Boeing 747-400, en-route to Atlanta, Georgia, had to make an emergency landing when the crew had to shut an engine down due to low oil pressure.

The plane returned safely after dumping fuel.

No injuries were reported.
