    Plane Crashes in Costa Rica; 12 Killed, Including 10 Americans

    A Nature Air plane crashed in the mountains of Guanacaste in Costa Rica, on December 31st.

    The incident happened shortly after the plane took off for Juan Santamaria International Airport.

    There were twelve people aboard at the time, including ten US citizens and two local crew members. All of them were killed in the crash.

    The incident is being investigation.

  • Bangladesh Air Force Training Planes Collide Mid-Air

    Two Bangladesh Air Force training planes collided mid-air in Cox’s Bazar district of Bangladesh, on December 27th.

    Authorities said the Russian Yak 130 planes were being flown by four flight cadets.

    All four pilots were able to eject safely.

    Small Plane Crash in Florida Kills Five on Christmas Eve

    A small plane crashed at Bartow Municipal Airport, Florida, on December 24th.

    The incident happened immediately after the plane took off from the main runway, in dense fog.

    There were five people aboard the plane; all of them were killed in the crash. They were identified as the pilot John Hugh Shannon, 70, his daughters, Olivia Shannon, 24, and Victoria Shannon Worthington, 26, Worthington’s husband, Peter Worthington, 27, and family friend Krista Clayton, 32.

    The cause of crash is being investigated.

    Small Plane Crashes Near Quilcene, WA; 1 Killed, 1 Injured

    A small plane crashed in the Buck Mountain area near Quilcene, Washington, on September 29th.

    Authorities said the plane was carrying two people when it went down.

    One person was killed in the crash. The other occupant of the plane was injured and was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center, Seattle.

    The NTSB is investigating.

    Two Dead After Small Plane Crashes in Dorset, England

    A small plane crashed near Shaftesbury in Dorset, England, on August 26th.

    Authorities said the Tiger Moth plane went down near Compton Abbas Airfield.

    There were two people aboard at the time, including the 64-year-old pilot and a 67-year-old passenger. Both of them were killed in the crash.

    Pilot Injured After Small Plane Crashes in West Jordan, Utah

    A small plane crashed in field in West Jordan, Utah, on August 24th.

    The plane went down shortly after taking off from South Valley Regional Airport. Authorities said it struck multiple power lines and sparked a small grass fire.

    The pilot, who was the only one aboard, sustained minor injuries. He was taken to a hospital.

    Alitalia Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Italy

    Alitalia flight AZ-1531 had to return and make an emergency landing in Cagliari, Italy, on August 22nd.

    The Airbus A320-200 plane took off for Linate Airport, Italy, but had to turn back after the crew noticed an issue with one of the engines and decided to shut it down.

    The plane landed uneventfully. All one hundred and sixty-seven passengers and six crew members remained safe.

    Two Killed After Small Plane Crashes in Topeka, Kansas

    A small plane crashed near Philip Billard Municipal Airport in Topeka, Kansas, on July 31st.

    The 1965 Piper PA-30 fixed wing plane was carrying two people when it went down.

    Both occupants were killed in the crash. They were identified as pilot William Leeds, 76, of Mission, Kansas, and co-pilot James Bergman, 55, of Leawood, Kansas.

    The crash is being investigated.

    Pilot Killed After Small Plane Crashed in Winchester, New Hampshire

    A small stunt plane crashed in Winchester, New Hampshire, on July 13th.

    Authorities said the wreckage of the two-seater plane was found in a heavily wooded area near Warwick Road.

    The pilot, who was the only one aboard, was killed in the crash. He was later identified as 65-year-old John Everson of Danielson, Connecticut.
