UTAir Flight Overruns Runway in Sochi, Russia; 18 Injured
UTAir flight UT-579 overran the end of the runway on landing in Sochi, Russia, on September 1st.
The incident happened when the Boeing 737-800 plane was coming from Moscow, Russia.
The plane came to stop in a river bed off the runway and its left engine caught fire.
There were one hundred and seventy people aboard at the time; eighteen of them were injured.
An airport worker died after having a heart attack at the scene of the incident.
