The Airbus A340-600 plane heading from Lima, Peru, to Madrid, Spain, was diverted after the crew needed to shut down one of the engines.

The plane landed safely. All three hundred and sixty people aboard remained unharmed.

Iberia Plane Bursts Tire on Landing at Buenos Aires Airport

Iberia flight IB-6841 burst a tire on landing at Ezeiza International Airport in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on December 1st.

The incident happened when the Airbus A340-600 plane was coming from Madrid, Spain.

When: Aug 15 2010
Why: Before takeoff, the air conditioning was “repaired.” After takeoff, cabin temperatures rose. The air conditioning system continued failing, and the pilot returned to the airport half an hour later.

A replacement jet was provided.
