    A military helicopter crashed in Makurdi, Benue State, Nigeria, on November 24.

    According to sources, the Augusta AW101 Chopper had landed but it suddenly moved up again and tumbled.

    There was only one person aboard, who sustained minor scratches.

    The incident remains under investigation.

    1 Killed 1 Injured after Small Plane Crashed in California

    A small plane crashed into a home near Half Moon Bay Airport in Moss Beach, California, on November 18th.

    The single engine Cessna 172 plane, carrying two people, took off from Sacramento and was heading to the Bay Area when it went down.

    The passenger was killed in the crash while the pilot sustained serious injuries.

    The accident is being investigated.

    Female Chinese Fighter Pilot Dies in Plane Crash

    A Chinese fighter plane crashed near Tangshan in Hebei, China, on November 12th.

    The aircraft, piloted by one of the first female fighter pilots in the country, was participating in a routine training exercise when it went down.

    The pilot Yu Xu, 30, was killed in the crash while her co-pilot was able to eject before the impact using a parachute. He was injured and was taken to hospital.

    Authorities confirmed that both pilots belonged to the Bayi Aerobatics Team of the People’s Liberation Army Air Force.

    Small Plane Crashes in Jamaica; 2 Killed, 1 Critically Injured

    A small plane crashed in Greenwich Town, Kingston, Jamaica, on November 10th.

    The plane, belonging to Caribbean Aviation Training Centre, went down when it was carrying two students and an instructor.

    The instructor and one of the students were killed in the crash while the other student was critically injured.

    The incident is being investigated.

    Pilot Injured after Small Plane Crashes in Wisconsin

    A small plane crashed in the town of Mukwa in Waupaca County, Wisconsin, on November 6th.

    The plane went down on Faskell Road, near the runway of a private airport Poppy’s Flying Acres.

    The pilot, who was the only one aboard, was injured in the accident and was taken to a hospital in New London.

    Sgt. Kevin Studzinski of the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office said the neighbors had pulled the pilot out of the aircraft. “The plane is considered a total loss, but that’s not what’s important… Due to their heroic actions the pilot is still alive today,” he said.

    Small Plane Crashed at Eureka Municipal Airport

    A small plane crashed at the Eureka Municipal Airport in Greenwood County, Kansas, on November 4th.

    The plane was attempting to the land at the airport when it crash-landed and came to stop on its top.

    There were two people aboard at the time, including the pilot George Douglas, 69, and his passenger Lawrence Stapleton, 55. Authorities said Douglas remained uninjured, however, Stapleton sustained minor injuries.

    AA Plane Catches Fire at O’Hare International Airport; 8 Injured

    American EagleAmerican Airlines flight AA-383 had to reject take off from O’Hare International Airport in Chicago, Illinois, on October 28th.

    The Boeing 767-300 plane was accelerating to take off for Miami, Florida, when it caught fire, prompting the crew to reject take off.

    The passengers were evacuated through slides. Eight people, including 7 passengers and 1 crew member, were injured and were taken to hospitals.

    It is believed that the fire sparked after failure of right hand engine.

    British Airways Flight Diverts to Vancouver due to Medical Emergency; 25 Taken to Hospital

    British airwaysBritish Airways flight BA-286 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Vancouver, Canada, on October 24th.

    The Airbus A380-800 plane heading from San Francisco, California, to London, United Kingdom, was diverted due to a medical emergency.

    Authorities said the crew declared an emergency after several passengers and crew members reported feeling sick due to fumes on board.

    The plane, carrying 433 people aboard, landed safely. Twenty-five people, including 5 passengers and 20 crew members, were taken to hospitals.

    MI-8 Helicopter Crashes in Russia; 19 Killed, 3 Injured

    A MI-8 helicopter crashed in Novy Urengoy, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Russia, on the night of October 21st.

    KLMKLM flight KL-588 experienced severe turbulence above the Mediterranean Sea, on October 14th.

    The Airbus A330-200 plane was heading from Lagos, Nigeria, to Amsterdam, Netherlands, when it ran into severe turbulence over the Mediterranean Sea.

    The plane continued for a safe landing in Amsterdam.

    The airline said 7 people, including 5 passengers and 2 crew members, sustained minor injuries due to turbulence.
