Flybe flight BE-4521 made an emergency landing in Dublin, Ireland, on October 16th.

The plane was flying from Cardiff, United Kingdom, when the crew reported smell of smoke in the cockpit.

The plane landed safely. All seventy-five passengers aboard remained unharmed.

Aer Lingus Flight Diverts to Cardiff due to Fumes in Cockpit

Aer Lingus flight EI-845 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom, on October 12th.

The Airbus A320-200 plane heading from Amsterdam, Netherlands, to Cork, Ireland, was diverted after the crew noticed fumes in the cockpit.

The plane landed safely. All one hundred and sixty-nine people aboard remained unharmed.

Flybe Plane Returns to Wales after Bird Strike

Flybe flight BE-4565 had to return and make an emergency landing at Cardiff Airport, Rhoose, Wales, on September 21st.

The Embraer ERJ-195 flying to Paris, France, had to return due to bird strike.

The plane landed safely.

All 90 people aboard remained safe.

Thomson Airways Jet Makes Emergency Landing at Cardiff Airport

Thomson airwaysThomson Airways flight TOM6555 had to make an emergency landing at Cardiff Airport, United Kingdom, on September 19.

The plane was preparing to land at the airport when its landing flaps failed, prompting the pilot to declare an emergency. The flight was en-route from Tenerife, Spain at the time.

The plane landed uneventfully. There were around 200 people aboard at the time; all of them remained unharmed.

An airline spokesperson said, “The safety of our customers and crew is of paramount importance and we would like to reassure customers that this type of situation is extremely rare.”

Bird-Hit Royal Air Force Helicopter Makes Emergency Landing at Cardiff Airport

RAFA Royal Air Force helicopter had to make an emergency landing at Cardiff Airport in the Vale of Glamorgan, United Kingdom, on the morning of February 4.

According to a Ministry of Defence spokesperson, “Two RAF aircraft were training in Pembrey when one aircraft thought it had been struck by a bird…As a precaution the aircraft asked to land at the nearest airport which was Cardiff…There was no damaged discovered and both aircraft returned to the RAF Valley base in Anglesea.”

Airport authorities confirmed that Hawk T1 made an uneventful emergency landing and no one aboard was harmed.
