Endeavor Air Plane makes Safe Landing in New York after Bird Strike

Endeavor AirEndeavor Air flight 9E-3885/ DL-3885 made a safe landing at LaGuardia Airport, New York, on April 21st.

The Canadair CRJ-900, flying from Madison, Wisconsin, was on approach to New York when a bird impacted the aircraft.

The plane received minor damage.

All people onboard remained unharmed.

LufthansaA Lufthansa Cityline plane was struck by lightning while it was descending towards Sibiu, Romania, on April 7th.

The Canadair CRJ-900 was flying from Munich, Germany, when a lightning strike caused a crack in its windshield.

The plane landed safely. No injuries were reported.

The return flight was cancelled.

Endeavor Air flight 9E-4058/DL-4058 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Raleigh-Durham International Airport, Raleigh, North Carolina, on April 4th.

The Canadair CRJ-900, en-route from Charleston, South Carolina to New York, was mid-air when the crew reported the loss of cabin pressure, prompting the plane to divert.

The plane landed uneventfully.

All 62 passengers and 4 crew members onboard remained unharmed.

The passengers were rebooked onto other flights.

The Canadair CRJ-200, heading from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada to Denver was descending toward the runway when the crew reported a small crack in the windshield.

SkyWest Airlines flight OO-5974/UA-5974 continued for a safe landing at Denver International Airport, Denver, Colorado, on March 21.

The plane landed safely.

All 54 people on board remained unhurt.

PSA Airlines Jet Diverts to Dayton due to Hydraulic Failure

American AirlinesPSA Airlines flight AA-5394 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Dayton, Ohio, on January 15.

The Canadair CRJ-700 aircraft was en-route from Des Moines, Iowa, to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, Virginia, when the crew decided to divert due to hydraulic failure.

The plane, being operated on behalf of American Airlines, landed uneventfully. There were 69 passengers aboard at the time; all of the remained unharmed.

The airline arranged a replacement aircraft for the passengers.

2 Feared Dead as Norwegian Postal Plane Crashes in Sweden

A Norwegian postal plane crashed in a remote mountainous area near the Akkajaure reservoir in Lapland region of northern Sweden, on January 8.

The Canadair CRJ 200 aircraft was carrying mail from Oslo to Tromso, Norway, when it went down. According to Daniel Lindblad, spokesman for the Swedish Maritime Administration, “They sent a very brief ‘mayday’ and then the plane disappeared from our radar. The weather conditions weren’t harsh.”

There were two people aboard the plane, including the 42-year-old captain and a 34-year-old first officer; both of them are feared dead.

The plane was being operated by West Atlantic.
