The incident happened when the Boeing 737-300 plane was flying from Lagos, Nigeria.

The crew subsequently initiated an emergency descent. The passenger oxygen masks were deployed.

The plane continued for a safe landing.

A Dana Air plane’s emergency exit door fell off shortly after landing at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, Nigeria, on February 7th.

The incident happened when the flight coming from Lagos, Nigeria, was taxiing on the runway.

One passenger fell out of the plane.

The airline said in a statement, “The emergency exit door of our aircraft are plug-type backed by pressure, which ordinarily cannot fall off without tampering or a conscious effort to open by a crew member or passenger.”

Aero Contractors Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Lagos

Aero Contractors flight NG-316 had to make an emergency landing in Lagos, Nigeria, on April 18th.

The plane flying from Port Harcourt, Nigeria, declared an emergency after smoke was noticed in the cabin.

The plane continued for a safe landing. There were 52 people aboard at the time; all of them remained unharmed.

Nigeria’s Civil Aviation Authority is investigating the incident.

The plane, heading from Sao Paulo, Brazil, to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, was diverted after the health condition of a passenger, who had ingested cocaine, started deteriorating.

According to Mr. Ahmadu Garba, the NDLEA commander at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), “A passenger complained of severe abdominal pains and later suffered three recurrent seizures thus necessitating an emergency landing in Lagos… Upon arrival, four passengers tested positive for narcotic ingestion. They are Okeh Desmond, Ezeanya Nnaemeka, Christopher Nonso and Chibusi Promise. All the suspects are under observation.”

The Boeing 737-500, heading from Port Harcourt to Lagos, Nigeria, had just climbed out of the runway when the crew received a smoke detector indication, prompting the crew to return.

The plane landed uneventfully.

It turned out that the smoke indication alarm was false.

All passengers on board remained unhurt.

American Pilot, 5 Others Killed in Lagos Helicopter Crash

Authorities said the helicopter, operated by the Bristow Group, nose-dived into water behind a police station. It was transporting 12 people to Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, from an offshore oil rig at the time.

Six people, including an American pilot, were killed in the crash. Six others were injured and were taken to nearby hospitals.

Air France Plane Made Emergency Landing in Lagos

Air FranceAn Air France flight had to make an emergency landing at Lagos Airport in Nigeria, on August 10, due to some error in tire pressure sensor.

The incident happened as the schedule Paris-Lagos flight was approaching Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos.

A statement released by Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) confirmed that the plane landed safely and all 178 people aboard, including 168 passengers and 10 crew members, remained unhurt.

Captain of the flight explained that the sensor wrongly indicated a problem with the tire pressure. However, no problems were observed during inspection after landing.

MedView Airlines Lagos-Abuja Flight Makes Emergency Landing

A local MedView Airlines flight in Nigeria, set from Lagos to the capital city Abuja, had to return and make an emergency landing immediately after take off.1

Initial reports reveal that Genga Daniel, former Ogun State governor, was also on board.

While the real reason behind emergency landing is still unclear, some passengers reported that just after the take off, the plane’s cabin got filled with smoke.

The passengers were safely evacuated through the emergency exit.
