    Skydiving Plane Crashes at East Georgia Regional Airport; 4 Killed, 1 Injured

    A skydiving plane crashed at East Georgia Regional Airport in Swainsboro, Georgia, on August 25th.

    The plane was carrying five people when it went down.

    Four people were killed in the crash. They were identified as Staff Sergeant Aliaksandr “Alex” Bahrytsevich, 31, of Raeford, NC; Justin Duff, 42, of Statesboro, GA; Andrew Swenson, 23, of Daytona Beach, FL; and Chris Eldridge, 42, of Rincon, GA.

    The fifth occupant of the plane, identified as William Middlebrooks, suffered injuries and was taken to a hospital.

    The plane was owned by The Jumping Place Skydiving Center in Statesboro, Georgia.

    The plane was carrying two people when it went down in Seventh Street near the intersection with Deer Valley Road.

    Both occupants of the plane were killed in the crash. They were identified as the pilot Theodore Rich, 54, and his passenger Elaine Carpenter, 49.

    The incident happened when the pilot was taking a friend for a short flight around Yavapai County.

    Both occupants of the plane were killed in the crash. They were identified as pilot Glenn Tenniswood, 68, and passenger Ron Walker, 78.

    Authorities said the wreckage was found in an open field near Baugher Road in Westminster.

    Small Plane Crashes Off Long Island Coast; 2 Dead, 2 Missing

    A small plane crashed into the Atlantic Ocean off Amagansett, New York, on June 2nd.

    The incident happened when the Piper PA-31 Navajo plane was carrying four people, including the pilot Jon Dollard, 47, famed Hamptons home builder Ben Krupinski, 70, his wife, Bonnie Bistrian Krupinski, 70, and their grandson, Will Maerov, 22.

    As of June 3rd, only two bodies had been recovered. However, all four occupants of the plane are presumed dead.

    A small plane crashed near Petaluma Municipal Airport in Sonoma County, California, on May 27th.

    The plane carrying two people went down shortly after taking off from the airport.

    Both occupants of the plane were killed in the crash.

    The aircraft was registered to Richard Bristow of Carmichael, California. Bristow’s brother said Bristow and his wife were travelling in the plane when it crashed.

    Passenger Plane Crashes in Cuba; Over 100 Dead

    A Boeing 737-200 plane, performing flight CU-972 on behalf of Cubana de Aviacion, crashed in Havana, Cuba, on May 18th.

    The incident happened shortly after the plane took off from Jose Marti International Airport in Havana.

    There were one hundred and five passengers and six crew members aboard at the time. Authorities said only three passengers survived and were shifted to hospitals in critical condition.

    The flight was heading to Holguin, Cuba.

    Southwest Airlines Plane Suffers In-Flight Engine Failure; 1 Killed

    On April 17th, a Southwest Airlines plane suffered an in-flight engine failure and got hit by debris from the damaged engine, shattering a passenger window and killing one passenger.

    The incident happened when the flight WN-1380 was heading from LaGuardia Airport, New York, to Dallas, Texas.

    The crew subsequently initiated an emergency descent and diverted to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

    Passengers reported that the deceased passenger, identified as Jennifer Riordan, 43, was partially sucked out of the aircraft through the shattered window. She was pulled back in by fellow passengers.
