AR National Guard C-130 Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Mississippi

An Arkansas Air National Guard C-130 plane made an emergency landing at Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport, Mississippi, on June 6th.

Authorities said the plane was on a training mission when it suffered an in-flight emergency, prompting the crew to turn around and land.

The plane landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

U.S. Coast Guard Plane Makes Emergency Landing at Gulfport–Biloxi International Airport

A U.S. Coast Guard C-130 plane made an emergency landing at Gulfport–Biloxi International Airport, Mississippi, on June 20th.

Airport authorities said the crew radioed in, saying that they needed to land at the airport due to smoke in the cockpit.

The plane landed safely. There were six people aboard at the time; all of them remained unharmed.

Indonesian Military Plane Crashed in Papua; 13 Killed

An Indonesian military plane crashed into a mountain in Papua province of Indonesia, on December 18th.

The Hercules C-130 plane took off from Timika, Papua, and was preparing to land in Wamena, Papua, when it went down.

There were 13 people aboard the plane, including 3 pilots and 10 passengers; all of them were killed in the crash.

Three Killed After Military Transport Plane Crashed in Portugal

A military transport plane crashed and caught fire at Montijo military base, Portugal, on July 11th.

The Lockheed C-130 Hercules plane, carrying seven crew members, was attempting to take off when it crashed.

Three crew members were killed in the crash. Authorities said that at least one other crew member was seriously injured.

U.S. Coast Guard Plane Makes Emergency Landing at PIE

A U.S. Coast Guard plane made an emergency landing at St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport, Florida, on December 21.

The crew of the C-130 Hercules plane, flying from Air Station Clearwater, declared emergency after noticing a vibrating sound coming from one of the engines.

The plane landed safely with three engines. Everyone aboard remained unhurt.

C-130 Makes Emergency Landing at Yeager Airport

C-130A U.S. Air Force Reserve C-130 plane made an emergency landing at the Yeager Airport in Charleston, West Virginia, shortly after 5 p.m. on August 8.

The decision for emergency landing was made after smoke was detected in the cargo area of the aircraft, going from Pope Air Force Base, North Carolina to Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The aircraft had more 42 military and retired civilian personnel on board. One of them had nausea because of the smoke and was taken to Charleston hospital.

The other passengers and crew members were transported to the Air National Guard located nearby.
