Norwegian Air Flight Diverts to Minnesota due to Unruly Passenger

Norwegian Air flight DY-7080 made an emergency landing at Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport, Minnesota, on December 5th.

The plane heading from Oakland, California, to Charles de Gaulle Airport, France, was diverted due to an unruly passenger.

The plane landed safely.

The flight continued after the police escorted the disruptive passenger off the plane. He was taken to a local hospital.

The plane, heading from Dublin, Ireland, to Izmir, Turkey, had to be diverted due to an “unruly passenger” aboard. The drunk Irishman stripped off and started harassing a stewardess.

The plane landed safely.

All passengers aboard remained unhurt.

The drunk passenger was taken off the flight in Belgrade, while others continued their journey to Izmir.

Unruly Passenger Forces Delta Emergency Landing on Christmas Night

250px-Delta_logo.svgDelta Airlines flight 81 had to make an emergency landing on Christmas night, at Albuquerque International Sunport, Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The Boeing 767, en-route from Atlanta to Los Angeles, was diverted after the pilot reported a ‘security threat’ due to a disruptive passenger on-board.

The plane, carrying more than 200 passengers, landed shortly after 6 p.m. The police escorted the unruly passenger out of the plane.

The flight was able to take off again after around 90 minutes.

According to Airport spokesperson Daniel Jiron, the man was not charged but was not allowed to board the flight again.

Chinese Passenger Pulls Open Emergency Exit for ‘Fresh Air’

Xiamen airlinesA passenger aboard Xiamen Airlines Flight MF8453 opened the emergency exit door, just when the plane was preparing to take off from Hangzhou in Zhejiang province of China, on December 21.

The Chengdu-bound plane was just about to move to the runway when the man pulled open the door, hoping to get ‘some fresh air’. The flight crew immediately closed the door, instructed him not to touch anything and moved him to a seat farther from the emergency exit. The flight departed as per the schedule.

The man was not punished. The authorities said the 50-year-old man did not mean any harm; he was a first time air-traveler and mistook the exit door for a window.

Passenger Throws Hot Water at Flight Attendant; Air Asia Plane Returns to Bangkok

An Air Asia Flight had to return and make an emergency landing in Bangkok, Thailand, on December 11.

The charter flight was on its way to Nanjing, China, when a Chinese passenger threw boiling hot water and noodles at a flight attendant.

The airline said in statement, “An unidentified female passenger assaulted the flight attendant with the hot liquid after becoming dissatisfied with the service…The captain of the flight decided to return the plane to Don Mueang Airport deeming her actions as endangering to other passengers and impeding in-flight service.”

The plane landed safely and the flight attendant was given medical aid.

The unruly passengers, along with 3 accompanying people, were removed from the plane.
