American Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Puerto Rico

American Airlines flight AA-1254 made an emergency landing in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on February 12th.

The Boeing 737-8 MAX plane flying from Miami, Florida, was descending toward San Juan when the crew reported a hydraulic failure.

The plane landed safely. All one hundred and forty-two passengers and six crew members remained unharmed.

American Airlines had to return and make an emergency landing in Miami, Florida, on November 2nd.

The Boeing 767-300 plane took off for San Juan, Puerto Rico, but had to turn back due to due to a pressurization problem.

While returning, the plane experienced a landing gear problem on first approach but subsequently landed safely on second approach.

All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

JetBlue Flight Makes Emergency Landing in San Juan

JetBlue flight B6-949 made an emergency landing in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on September 15th.

The Airbus A320-200 plane heading from John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York, to St. George’s, Grenada, was diverted due to a mechanical issue.

The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

Helicopter Crashes in Puerto Rico; 1 Killed, 3 Injured

A private helicopter crashed on a beach in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico, on June 30th.

It is believed that the aircraft was carrying four people when it went down.

One person was killed in the crash. He was identified as Carlos Virelles Jimenez, 53. Three others were injured.

The cause of crash is being investigated.

JetBlue Flight Diverts to Fort Lauderdale due to Cracked Windshield

JetBlue flight B6-1052 made an emergency landing in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on May 6th.

The Airbus A320-200 plane heading from San Juan, Puerto Rico, to Tampa, Florida, was diverted due to a cracked windshield.

The plane landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

Bird-Hit JetBlue Flight Makes Safe Landing in Saint Croix

JetBlue flight B6-340 made a safe landing following a bird strike near Saint Croix, Virgin Islands, on July 26th.

The Embraer ERJ-190 plane flying from San Juan, Puerto Rico, was on approach to Saint Croix when a bird hit it.

The plane continued for a safe landing. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

PAWA Dominicana Airlines Flight Returns to Puerto Rico after Engine Failure

The plane took off for Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, but had to return shortly afterwards due to failure of left engine.

The plane landed safely. There were 112 people aboard at the time; all of them remained unharmed.

Delta Plane Diverts to Puerto Rico after Bird Ingestion

250px-Delta_logo.svgDelta flight DL-307 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport, San Juan, Puerto Rico, on January 24.

The Boeing 757-200, flying from Saint Thomas, Virgin Islands, to Atlanta, Georgia, had to divert after one of its engines ingested a bird. The engine had to be shut down mid-air.

The plane landed safely.

No injuries were reported.

Austral Embraer Returns to Puerto Rico after Issue with Ailerons

AustralAustral Líneas Aéreas flight AR-2431, operating on behalf of Aerolineas Argentinas, returned to Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport, San Juan, Puerto Rico, USA, on September 28.

The Embraer ERJ-190, heading towards Aeroparque Jorge Newbery in Buenos Aires, Argentina, had to return due to some issue with its ailerons.

The plane landed safely.

No injuries were reported.

The passengers were accommodated in a replacement plane.

Ultralight Plane Crashed in Puerto Rico; Pilot Killed

An ultralight plane crashed into waters in Puerto Rico, along the U.S. territory’s north coast on November 28.

According to the authorities in Puerto Rico, the pilot was flying near Isabela, Puerto Rico, when his plane went down into the ocean.

The pilot’s body was found on Saturday morning. He was identified as Luis Pabon Rivera, 48.

The cause of crash is not known at the moment.
