Trans Maldivian Plane makes Crash Landing in Maldives

A Trans Maldivian flight made a crash landing at Velana International Airport, Malé, Maldives, on May 27th.

The de Havilland DHC-6-300 flying from Rangali Island, Maldives, had just landed when it tipped over to its left and its nose and left wing was submerged in the water.

All 9 passengers and 3 crew members were taken to hospital for precautionary measures.

The aircraft sustained partial damage.

Small Plane Crash Lands in Minnesota due to Engine Trouble

A small plane crash landed in Xanadu Avenue, Jordan, Minnesota, on September 14th.

The Stinson V77 flying from Fleming Field, South St. Paul, had to make a landing attempt after encountering engine problem mid-air.

The plane flipped over on landing.

The pilot remained unharmed.

Small Plane Crashed at Ravalli County Airport

A small plane crashed at the Ravalli County Airport in Hamilton, Montana, on June 4th.

The plane was attempting to land at the airport when its left wing struck the ground, causing it to flip over. The plane was flying from Idaho at the time.

There were three people aboard, including the pilot and two passengers; one of them was injured in the incident while the other two remained unharmed.

The FAA and the NTSB are investigating.

Airlinair Plane Returns to Italy due to Over-temperature Indication

AirlinairAirlinair flight A5-4507 had to return and make an emergency landing at Milan–Malpensa Airport, Italy, on May 18th.

The Avions de Transport Reginal ATR-72-212A, en-route to Lyon, France, had to return after the crew received an over-temperature indication.

The plane landed safely.

All 64 passengers and 4 crew members remained safe.

One Killed, One Injured after Small Plane Crashes at Yeager Airport

A small plane flipped over during take off at Yeager Airport in Charleston, West Virginia, on March 26th.

Authorities said the Cessna 172 Skyhawk aircraft was carrying two people when it overturned and caught fire.

Both occupants of the plane were taken to hospital where one of them succumbed to his injuries.

The cause of accident is being investigated.

Small Plane Crash Lands in California

A small plane had to make a crash landing at Mineta San Jose International Airport, San Jose, Santa Clara County, California, on March 24.

The Plaggio P180 was seen circling over San Jose and Willow Glen, and it was reported that there was a mechanical issue, due to which the crew opted for a crash landing.

The plane landed uneventfully.

It turned out that there was a problem with the rear landing gear.

All people aboard remained unharmed.

Lufthansa Plane Makes Safe Landing in Los Angeles after Object Encounter

LufthansaLufthansa flight LH-456 continued for a safe landing at Los Angeles International Airport, Los Angeles, California, on March 18.

The Airbus A380-800, flying from Frankfurt, Germany to Los Angeles, California, was on its approach to runway when it encountered an object passing over, presumably a drone.

The plane landed safely.

All 525 people onboard remained unharmed.

The incident is being investigated.

American Airlines Airbus Returns to Tampa due to Engine Issue

American AirlinesAmerican Airlines flight AA-782 made an emergency return to Tampa International Airport, Florida, USA, on November 25.

The Airbus A320-200 was en-route from Tampa to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, when the left hand engine was shut down due to over temperature, causing it to return.

The plane landed safely.

All 135 passengers aboard remained unhurt.
