JetBlue flight B6-944 had to divert for an emergency landing in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on August 2nd.

The Airbus A320-200 plane flying from Long Beach, California, to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, was diverted after several passengers complained of breathing difficulties due to an unknown odor on board.

The plane landed safely. The affected passengers were treated at the airport. Some of them were also taken to hospitals.

Arall Aerolineas Llaneras Plane Crashes after Emergency Landing in Colombia

Arall Aerolineas Llaneras Douglas plane returned to make an emergency landing and crashed outside Puerto Gaitan Airport, Puerto Gaitan, Colombia, on April 7th.

The Douglas DC-3, en-route from Puerto Gaitan to Villavicencio, Colombia, had just climbed out of Puerto’s runway when the left hand engine failed, prompting the crew to return and attempt for an emergency landing.

The plane was completely destroyed.

All 3 crew members onboard were evacuated.

Two crew members suffered injuries and were taken to hospitals.

Plane Crashes on Road and Hits Car; 1 Killed, 5 Injured

A small plane crashed on an interstate and slammed into a car in San Diego, Southern California, on April 2nd.

According to sources, the plane crash landed on the lane and slid onto its right shoulder, slamming into a standing Nissan Altima.

The car passenger was killed in the crash whereas 5 occupants of the plane suffered from injuries of varying intensities.

The injured were taken to nearby hospitals.

The crash remains under investigation.

Air Canada Flight Diverts to Calgary due to Heavy Turbulence; 21 Passengers Hospitalised

Air CanadaAir Canada flight AC88 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Calgary International Airport in Canada, on December 30.

The plane, heading from Shanghai, China, to Toronto, Canada, was diverted after it encountered severe turbulence that injured some of the passengers.

The plane was carrying 332 passengers and 19 crew members at the time; 21 of them were taken to hospitals. According to the airline, eight of them were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries while the others were taken for observation.

Venezuela National Guard Helicopter Crashes in Colombia

plane crashA Venezuela National Guard helicopter crashed onto a parking lot in Paraguachon, La Guajira, Colombia, on December 28.

Delcy Rodriguez, Venezuela’s top diplomat, said, “Adverse weather conditions led to this unfortunate accident. We thank Colombian authorities who provided support to the officers.”

There were two people aboard the Bell helicopter at the time; including the pilot and the co-pilot. Both of them were injured in the crash. They were taken to hospitals in Venezuela.

Colombia’s Defense Minister Luis Carlos Villegas said, “”We will proceed through diplomatic channels with the government of Venezuela to establish where the wreckage will be sent.”
