Egypt Air Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Cairo

Egypt Air flight MS-757 had to return for an emergency landing in Cairo, Egypt, on June 26th.

The Boeing 737-800 plane took off for Amsterdam, Netherlands, but blew the right-hand nose tire during departure.

The crew subsequently turned back and landed safely. All ninety-five passengers aboard remained unharmed.

Trans States Airlines Plane Rejects Take Off From Fargo

Trans States Airlines flight UA-4629 had to reject take off from Fargo, North Dakota, on January 9th.

The Embraer ERJ-145 plane was accelerating to take off for Denver, Colorado, when two right hand tires blew, forcing the crew to reject take off.

The plane safely returned to the apron. Everyone aboard remained safe.

United Airlines Flight Returns to O’Hare International Airport

United Airlines flight UA-972 had to return and make an emergency landing at O’Hare International Airport, Chicago, Illinois, on January 7th.

The Boeing 767-300 plane took off for Brussels, Belgium, but had to return shortly afterwards after right hand engine’s anti-ice systems failed.

The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

Emirates Plane Returns to Dubai due to Engine Problem

Emirates Airlines flight EK-97 had to return and make an emergency landing at Dubai International Airport, Dubai, UAE, on December 25th.

The Airbus A380-800, en-route to Rome, Italy, was mid-air above Iran when the crew reported problems with the right hand engine, prompting it to return.

The plane landed uneventfully. All people onboard remained unharmed.

The passengers were accommodated in a replacement plane.

Condor Airlines Plane Rejects Take Off due to Bird Strike

The emergency services had to cool down the right hand brakes as the plane vacated the runway.

Ethiopian Airlines Flight Diverts to Athens

The Boeing 787-800 plane heading from Bangkok, Thailand, to Brisbane, Australia, was diverted after the crew received indication of oil leakage from the right hand engine.

The plane landed uneventfully. All 264 people aboard remained safe.

United Airlines Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Athens

The Boeing 767-300 plane took off for Newark, New Jersey, but had to return shortly afterwards after the passengers noticed fluid leaking from the left hand wing.

The plane landed safely. All 209 passengers and 11 crew members remained unhurt.

J-Air Flight Returns to Osaka International Airport

J AirJ-Air flight JL-2301 had to return and make an emergency landing at Osaka International Airport, Japan, on June 28th.

The plane took off for Matsuyama, Japan, but had to return shortly afterwards after the crew reported failure of right hand generator.

The plane landed uneventfully. There were 32 people aboard at the time; all of them remained safe.

Arall Aerolineas Llaneras Plane Crashes after Emergency Landing in Colombia

Arall Aerolineas Llaneras Douglas plane returned to make an emergency landing and crashed outside Puerto Gaitan Airport, Puerto Gaitan, Colombia, on April 7th.

The Douglas DC-3, en-route from Puerto Gaitan to Villavicencio, Colombia, had just climbed out of Puerto’s runway when the left hand engine failed, prompting the crew to return and attempt for an emergency landing.

The plane was completely destroyed.

All 3 crew members onboard were evacuated.

Two crew members suffered injuries and were taken to hospitals.
