The plane was preparing to depart for Zurich, Switzerland, when the crew received an indication of unlocked door and rejected take off.

Everyone aboard remained unhurt.

Darwin Airlines Plane makes Safe Landing in Italy after Dropping Nose Wheel

DarwinDarwin Airlines flight AZ-1203 made a safe landing at Falcone–Borsellino Airport, Italy, on May 18th.

The Avions de Transport Regional ATR-72-212A, flying to Naples, Italy, dropped one of its nose wheels just after the departure.

The plane landed safely.

No injuries were reported.

Jetstar Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Melbourne

JetstarJetstar flight JQ-711 had to return and make an emergency landing in Melbourne, Australia, on May 11th.

The plane took off for Hobart, Tasmania, Australia, but had to return shortly afterwards after the crew reported possible tail strike on departure.

The plane landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

Croatia Airlines Plane Returns and Makes Emergency Landing in Germany

Croatia Airlines flight OU-417 had to return and make an emergency landing at Frankfurt Airport, Frankfurt am Main, Germany, on March 31st.

The Airbus A320-200, en-route to Zagreb, Croatia, had just departed Frankfurt’s runway when the crew reported hydraulic problems, resulting in landing gear retraction issue, prompting the plane to return.

The plane landed uneventfully.

All people onboard remained unharmed.

Ryanair Plane Returns and makes Emergency Landing in England after Bird Strike

RyanairRyanair flight FR-3445 had to return and make an emergency landing at Manchester Airport, Manchester, England, UK, on April 1st.

The Boeing 737-800, en-route to Palma, Mallorca, Spain, was mid-air after departure when a bird impacted the aircraft, prompting the crew to stop the climb and return.

The plane’s right hand engine was affected by the bird strike.

All people onboard remained unharmed.

EasyJet Plane Returns to the Stand after Spanner was Spotted in the Wing

EasyjetA 25-year-old Swiss passenger prevented a potential aviation disaster after reporting that a spanner was stuck in the plane’s wing.

Just moments before the EasyJet flight EZS1465 was scheduled to take off, Christophe spotted the spanner and immediately told the airline personnel.

According to the airline, “easyJet can confirm that EZS1465 from Geneva to Copenhagen on 4 March retuned to stand prior to departure from Geneva as a result of a passenger informing crew about noticing an object in the wing… In line with our procedures, the captain took the decision to return to stand for it to be investigated. A spanner was discovered and removed and the flight departed with a small delay.”

The incident is being investigated.

Four Killed after Small Plane Crashes in Idaho

A small plane crashed near China Beach on the Palisades Reservoir in Idaho, on March 13th.

The Cessna 182 aircraft crashed and burst into flames around 1 mile north of Alpine Airport, from where it departed.

There were four people aboard at the time; all of them were killed in the crash. They were identified as the pilot Jerry “David” Anderson, 40, his wife Jessica Ann Anderson, 38, Thomas “Brook” Summers, 39, and his wife Heidi Summers, 36. All of them were residents of Idaho Falls.

The FAA and the NTSB are investigating the incident.

Allegiant Air Flight Diverts to Jacksonville International Airport

AllegiantAllegiant Air flight 758 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Jacksonville International Airport, Florida, on March 2nd.

Authorities said the plane, heading from Orlando Sanford International Airport, Florida, to Indianapolis International Airport, Indiana, was diverted due to a pressurization problem.

The plane landed uneventfully. All 155 passengers and 6 crew members remained safe.

The airline said in a statement, “A replacement aircraft will be sent to JAX from SFB and is scheduled to depart JAX at 12:40 p.m. and arrive in IND at 2:40 p.m. Passengers will be receiving a refund for the flight segment, food at the gate, the option to change their flight to another one in the Allegiant network and $200 vouchers for future travel on Allegiant.”

Atlas Air Plane Returns to Miami International Airport

Atlas Air cargo flight 5Y-33 had to return and make an emergency landing at Miami International Airport, Florida, on February 17.

The Boeing 747-800 plane took off for Buenos Aires, Argentina, but had to return shortly afterwards after tire debris was found on the departure runway.

The perimeter road around the airport was closed for traffic while the plane, carrying 6 crew members, landed safely. No injuries were reported.
